Scenarios• Scenario A:
In reviewing AISI projects on the Sharepoint that have themes similar to theirs, three AISI coordinators, Kevin, Sharon and Wendy connect, and decide that some cross-school authority sharing would be of great benefit. They each discuss the idea with a keen cohort of teachers in their area and then coordinators and teachers connect via VC to create a preliminary plan. Wendy wonders if they could meet at the Literacy conference to talk about what they are doing, what they have learned so far, what they hope to achieve and what kinds of professional learning they are going to be involved with. Kevin and Sharon don’t have the funding they need to attend the Literacy conference. They decide to apply for funding to attend the conference to meet up with SA 3, and in support of that application, create a plan that includes what they will do before, during and after the conference to support continued collaborative learning.
• Scenario B:During the networking break at a conference or PD event, teachers from a jurisdictions in the south and one from the north realize have a similar questions about working with data. The teachers from Lethbridge public have done some work with an expert and were wondering how to leverage that work in their AISI data collection/analysis in support of their project. The teachers from Fort McMurray public feels that connecting with Laura Lipton would also further their work, so they decide to meet via Skype the following week to brainstorm some ideas. They check with their local consortiums but neither has plans to bring in Laura Lipton for that purpose in the near future. Together with their consortium reps, they explore the potential of bringing the expert in for a series of 2-3 webinars or Skype meetings to coach them, using their own data, and having the expert follow up with a commitment to provide a weeklong period of Q/A discussions on data collection/analysis in the Networks online CoP with support from the Networks Funding.

Requests will be reviewed and funds allocated in two blocks for the 2012-2013 school year:
October and November 2012.February and March 2013.
