ThenewAgilentTechnologiesN5978AautomationscriptsimplementTD-LTEIOTtestplaninAgilent’sinteractivefunctionaltest(IFT)software.UsedinconjunctionwithAgilentPXTwirelesscommunicationstestset,thesolutionbringsreal-worldnetworktestsce-nariosintothelabenvironment.

Mobility Today,mostTD-LTEdevicessupportfourmodes(GSM,TD-SCDMA,LTEFDD,andLTETDD)orfivemodes:(GSM,W-CDMA,TD-SCDMA,LTEFDD,andLTETDD).MobilitytestisrequiredtoverifytheUEbehavesasexpectedwhentransitioningbetweendifferentradioaccesstechnologies.Mobilitytestincludescellselection/reselection,intra-LTEmobility,inter-RATmobility,androamingtest.

TheAgilentTechnologyE5515Cwire-lesstestsetisrequiredwhen2Gor3Gcellsareinvolvedduringthemobilitytest.

Data throughput CustomershavehigherexpectationsandaremoreawareofthedataperformanceoftheirwirelessdevicesintheLTEera.Datathroughputtestverifiestheactualend-userexperienceunderdif-ferentchannelconfigurationsandradioconditions,helpingtoaddressthedataperformanceearlyinUEdevelopment.
