Aim of the meeting:
The workshop will provide an overview of EU legislation on food safety and its
implementation. The international dimension of food safety will be addressed as wellas the "farm to fork approach" and hygiene rules. On Day II, EU control rules, rules
for specific foodstuffs and the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) will
be discussed. There will also be an introduction to the "Better Training for Safer
Food" Programme of the European Commission.
