4An informative essay, also known as an expository essay, gives the reader detailed information about a specific topic.

Informative/expository essays are usually written in five paragraphs.Informative = ExpositoryWhat Informative/Expository Writing Looks LikeFive paragraphs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!First paragraph: IntroductionStates the thesis and the main things youll talk about in the BodySecond, Third, Fourth paragraphs: BodyHUGE amounts of detail, fact, and exampleFifth paragraph: ConclusionNicely summarizes everythingOverview on the Writing ProcessTake a deep breath, yo.Start with what you knowI promise you already know a lot. Then review your research or look through the text to fill in the gaps.Brainstorm using a graphic organizer (You already made a Venn-daigram), write out ideas, maybe make an outline.Write a draft.
