The development is bisected by Jog Road, with the western portion (53 units) zoned to Pine Jog Elementary & Palm Beach Central High and the eastern portion (56 units) zoned to Melaleuca & John I. Leonard High. The study consolidates the entire future development into singular elementary & high school attendance zones, the middle school zone is not affected with the entire development being zoned to Okeeheelee Middle. The study has no impact on existing students. A community input meeting was held on December 20, 2018 at Lake Worth Middle, no members of the community addressed the ABC on these studies but the developer submitted written comments stating that if they can’t have the entire development zoned to Pine Jog Elementary & Palm Beach Central High, then they request to remain as is. The ABC voted 10-1 to recommend Studies M-1 & J-1 to the Superintendent. The lone dissenting ABC vote recommended deferring this change until attendance zones are established for new high school “OOO”.

DESCRIPTION: Commencing for the 2019-2020 school year: Changes in student attendance boundaries for two (2) Elementary Schools – Melaleuca and Pine Jog and two High Schools – John I. Leonard and Palm Beach Central.

Boundary Studies M-1 & J-1 – Consolidates a future residential development into single elementary & high school zones.

The future Solcera residential development will contain 109 single-family units and is located just south of Southern Blvd. at Jog Road. The development is bisected by Jog Road, with the western portion (53 units) zoned to Pine Jog Elementary & Palm Beach Central High and the eastern portion (56 units) zoned to Melaleuca & John I.
