Instructions for RFID Shoe Tags
o Tags should hang freely off the side of the shoes. They should not be tucked inside the shoe or under the laces.
On each shoe, feed lace through the RIFD tag so that it rests on the side of the shoe and then tie your shoe back.
o Tags can also be pinned to the outermost side of the short (at least 2 inches apart) if it’s not possible to place them on the shoe lace.
o Before you leave the event please return shoe tags and safety pins to your coach or the finish line crew so that we can recycle as much as we can and keep our expenses at a minimum. There is no rush to take the tags off, and in fact it would be best to wait until after the event to approach the finish line crew.
Please do not tear shoe tags off of the shoe!
o Coaches, please place these items back in the race packet and return to the finish line crew after the completion of the races.
