The key dimensions and tolerances of the output shaft conform to JIS B 1301-1996 (Standard). The key materials are not connected to parallel shaft type backlash precision 3 arcmin spec, solid shaft type H shaft (without key), or to the hollow shaft type.Internal inertia moment values (value measured at input shaft) indicated are the value of the reducer only and do not include the inertia moment of the motor. The allowable torque for the output shaft is equivalent to that for continuous use. The transmission efficiency indicated is the value at the ambient temperature of 20℃ (input rotation speed: 3000 rpm) The maximum instantaneous torque should not exceed the allowable peak torque at acceleration and stopping.The allowable instantaneous torque is allowable value for maximum torque allowed instantaneously due to impact. The operating life is set to roughly 1,000 times.

The list below indicates the product line up as of December 2007. Since the specifications of the servomotors change from time to time, we recommend that you reconfirm the servomotor flange dimensions and the dimensions of the servomotor mounting parts when placing an order.The servomotors listed below are to standard specifications. For products with optional specifications, such as motors with oil seals, please confirm whether the motor can be adjusted by checking the detailed drawings of input shaft and flange shape shown on page. The maximum allowable rotational speed is 3000 rpm. When using a servomotor with top rotational speed of over 3000 rpm, please do not exceed 3000 rpm. In case adaptable servomotor can be supplied beforehand, we assemble the Z Type Reducer with the servomotor and ship it as assembled unit. When assembling servomotor the standard setting is for the lead wire coming out in the bottom side for the AFC types with AGC types out of the top side. Straight shaft servomotors are the only usable FANUC Corporation products. For details, please ask our nearest office.

Attachment of Hollow Shaft and Driven Shaft of Reducer
Apply anti-seizing agent proper for the using circumstance such as molybdenum disulfide, on the surface of the driven shaft and the bore of the hollow shaft, and then insert the reducer in the driven shaft.In case impact does not affect in the uniform load, "H7" tolerance is recommended for the driven shaft. In case shock load is imposed or great radial load is observed, tighten the fittings. "H8" tolerance is recommended for the bore of the hollow shaft.If the fitting is too tight, tap the edge of the hollow drive shaft with the plastic hummer and fit together. In this case, never hit the casing. Smoother insert can be obtained if you prepare jigs shown in the figure below:

Be sure to have space between the outer diameter of the spacer and the inner diameter of the hollow shaft. Excessive tightness of the fitting or inaccuracy of the spacer's diameter may cause greater fluctuation on the driven and hollow shafts. Positioning spacer is used when deciding the position of the reducer. In case the length of the driven shaft is clarified preliminarily, positioning spacer is not necessary. By having positioning spacer, smooth detachment from the hollow shaft can be obtained. (For the details of detachment from the hollow shaft, refer to Figure-5 on page 110.)

About the length of driven shaft
The driven shaft must be reached to the both side of the L1 part.(As shown on the right figure) However, be sure to have an allowance for the spacer's dimension necessary at the "detachment from the hollow shaft".For detailed dimensions of the hollow shaft / output shaft, please refer to page 112.
About the length of key for the driven shaftThe length of the key should be more than 1.5 times of the diameter of hollow shaft. Also, the key inserting position should be the place where more than 1/2 of the total key length can be reached to L1.(Refer to the figure on the right)For detailed dimensions of the hollow shaft / output shaft, please refer to page 74.
Detaching from the Hollow ShaftMake sure to avoid excessive force between the casing and the hollow shaft. Smoother detachment can be obtained by using a jig as shown in the figure below:

Connecting with Other Machines
Fix it firmly to a stable machined flat surface with four bolts.If the base is poor or surface is not flat, vibration may occur during operation, reducing the operating life of the reducer. Please ensure the mounting surface is not tilted more than 0.1 mm.
All parts are grease lubricated so there are no limitations on the mounting direction.
We recommend using H7 fit for attaching the couplings, sprockets, pulleys, gears, etc., to the reducer.In the case of direct connection, connect a reducer shaft and the shaft of the connecting machine precisely, so that the center of the shaft of both machines will be fully aligned.In the case of using chains, or gears, connect the units precisely so that the shaft of the reducer and that of the other machine are parallel. Also, be sure that the centerline of the sprockets and pulleys are perpendicular to the shaft.When attaching couplings or connecting equipment to the output shaft, be sure not to give any strong impact, such as by a hammer. Failure to observe this warning may result in damage to the bearings, which may lead to noise, vibration or failure.

When operating machine with high load inertia intermittently, unexpected accident may occur due to the extremely high torque created instantaneously when machine start running (in case of reducer with brake, when machine stop running). Therefore, be sure that the inertia of the connecting machine should be within each allowable value accordingly to the connection method or frequency of start running, as listed below.
