Overall Goal

To establish a regulatory framework for the Homeopathic Medical System to provide complementary affordable health care services in Afghanistan.

Objective 01

Regulating Homeopathic Medical System practice implementation and products/medicine in Afghanistan

Key Interventions:

Regulate Practice & provide licensing support for Homeopathic Doctors in Afghanistan

Establish regulatory framework for Homeopathic Products/Medicines to be imported & or manufactured in Afghanistan

Develop & Introduce Regulatory framework for the establishment of Homeopathic health facilities

Objective 02

Management of Homeopathic Medical System through Establishment of The Homeopathic Department in MoPH structure

Key Interventions:

Development of the Terms of Reference for The Homeopathic MS Department

Establish The Homeopathic MS Department based on the ToR

Develop and adopt standards for Homeopathic Medical System & Homeopathic Doctors

Devise Plans for implementation further strengthen Homeopathic Medical System in Afghanistan

Objective 03

Establish surveillance system to improve management and services delivery of Homeopathic Medical System in Afghanistan

Key Interventions:

Implement pilot projects to expand result based Homeopathic health services

Develop data collection tools for the indicators identified

Adopt and introduce MoPH developed HMIS mechanism in Homeopathic health facilities

Develop monitoring and evaluation framework for Homeopathic Medical System activities

Objective 04

Advocacy for the Homeopathic Medical System among the community leadership, health care providers & educational institutions

Key Interventions:

Creating media spots for the awareness of the benefits of Homeopathic Medical System

Coordinate with the various ministries for advocacy purpose in the community

Deliver talks, arrange meetings, debates and workshops for the community, health care providers, professional and institutions

Organizing exposure visits for various orgs, media and educational and health care providers

Objective 05

Building partnership and Capacity building of key relevant government officials, health care providers and community leaders

Direct efforts for the investment opportunities in the HMS

Seek funding and continuing support from donor agencies, charity organizations, NGOs and Homeopathic Medical Community

Conducting training, workshop and seminars in Homeopathic Medical System
