SENCO SupportThe Advisory Teaching Service is able to offer a range of support packages for SENCOs in both primary and secondary schools. This support would focus on assisting the SENCO to ful l their role. This support would probably be most useful for those schools where SENCOs are new in post or need support to ful l their role. The Advisory Teacher would be able to tailor their support to the needs of the school. This support is different and separate to the usual ATS support offered to individual children with SEND.

SENCO Support would:

• assist with the identi cation of children with additional needs.

• assist with the analysis and preparation of attainment/progress data for children with SEND.

• assist with choosing appropriate interventions and assessments.

• support with the evaluation of their impact.

• offer training in or modelling of the delivery of assessments and interventions.

• support staff with assessment and planning for inclusive teaching and learning.

Cost: Per half day £250 (termly agreements are available)
