Öregrunds Racerklubb is very proud to welcome you to the World Champion-ship for the UIM Offshore 3C in Öregrund. Öregrund is a small village on the east coast approx. 150 km north of Stock-holm. It is a well known town in Sweden where you can watch the sun set down in the sea, enjoy good bathing and nice places to eat. Each check has a value of 2.500 SEK (appr €250) for food and drinks and can be used during the week. Pit Area Is located at down town Örergund. You’re allowed tents that are 4*8 m2. Transportation to and from crane will be taken care of using ATV:s. Some of you have already informed us that you have bigger tents which we will try to meet. Questions about this can be directed to Lennart Jansson +46 (0)70-304 20 65.

Race Administration Race control, Race Secretariat, Time Keeping and Press Office is located at “Societetshuset”. Race Documentation 1. All competitors must be properly insured for third party responsibility and against personal injury. Required third party insurance is minimum SEK 10,000,000. 2. The Race Committee reserve the right to remove offending and/or conflicting publicity material. Advertising of alcohol and tobacco products in Sweden are not allowed.

3. The Racing Instructions should be read in conjunction with the Advance Program, bulletins and the UIM rules and regulations. Food There will be two places for Race Lounge. One is situated at the Societetshuset and there we will serve lunch between 11.00 - 13.00 all days except Saturday. Three (3) lunches are in-cluded for each team and day. More lunches can be purchased (50 SEK/extra lunch). Please let us know if you have any allergies! Three dinners for Thursday (WC dinner on water) and Saturday are also included per team. If you want to purchase more dinners, you can do that for an extra 150 SEK/person. You will also have a designated area at the Festival area only for you and your team mem-bers. Facilities There are toilets and showers in the guest harbour (next to pit area) and also toilets available at Race Control.

Scrutineering Competitors must be available with their craft for possible post race scrutineering for up to one (1) hour after results are posted. Fuelling When arriving to Öregrund fuel tanks shall be empty. The only petrol allowed is from the fuelling stations Infartsmacken and Grepen Marin in Öregrund.

Event Approvals, Rules and Regulations The Race Event is sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). The event will be run under the appropriate UIM rules and regulations in, such other rules and amendments as may be issued within their jurisdiction, by the Race Committee, race instructions and/or race bulletins. Any infringement of any of the rules may lead to disqualification and/or other penalties. The organisers reserve the right to amend or modify the event program and/or the racecourse for whatever reasons they consider necessary. The attention of all competitors is drawn to UIM Rule 205.13: All smoking of any type is forbidden in the following areas: • Dry Pits • Wet Pit • Craneage area Competitors are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that the rule is strictly adhered to all their team members. Penalty for contravention of the above is a 100 Euro fine or disqualification.

We also want to remind you that the choice and efficiency of a racing vest is the sole responsibility of the wearer and that the wearer is entirely responsible for the choice of his/her helmet. Racing vests and helmets must be worn during practise and race when the boat is at racing speed. See rules 508.25 and 713

Safety The organisers wish to inform competitors that all safety and patrol boats will be instructed that their first priority at any incident is saving human life. Private and commercial craft of all types may be encountered at various points around the course. Competitors are warned to remember that other craft may not realize this, and may not be able to keep clear. Competitors are requested to pay full attention to sudden crossing of spectator boats of the racecourse. Competitors are asked to keep in mind that Official Boats, except Police boats and Coast guard, have no formal rights to insist that craft should keep clear of the course. Local Speed Limits All boats are to comply with the local speed limits within the Öregrund Harbour AT ALL TIMES during the test periods. Failure to do so may incur a fine and/or disqualification. Radio Communication Channel for Race Control and special safety communication will be announced at the drivers briefing. Webtracking All boats has to use the Swedish webtracking system. Foreign competitors that don’t have this are advised to download the app on their phones (more instructions in the Racer Instruc-tions). If a team can't use their mobile phone (you have to be able to use the internet), please let us know in advance and we’ll solve it for you.

Outside Assistance Refuelling or assistance of any sort will not be permitted during any race. The Race Com-mittee will decide if there was outside assistance, which will result in disqualification.

Launching and Recovery Towing, launching and recovery facilities are free to competitors within times notified in the Racing Instructions. No liability will be accepted by the organisers for any damage caused directly or indirectly whilst launching or recovery of boats, trailers or any other equipment. It is the Team’s sole and ultimate responsibility to rescue sunken participating boats.

Start Procedure Map of Starting area and Milling-/Safe-area you find on page 4. Starting Procedures Starting procedures as described in the UIM 305 rules. Any alteration to the started procedure will be announced at race briefings and/or in race bulletins. Postponements and Cancellations If it is necessary to delay the start of the race, the white flare will not be fired, and a board showing the postponement time in minutes at 15, 30, 45 or 60, will be displayed from the Start Boat. The Start Boat will then proceed after the appropriate time delay as if there had been no postponement. Finishing procedures Will be given at the Drivers meetings.

Results The results will be posted at Race Control after the race. They will also be posted at the offi-cial homepage and Facebook.

Protests and Appeal All protests and appeals are to comply with current UIM rules All protests must be accompanied by a fee of SEK 800 (80 €), which will be returned, in full, if the protest is upheld.

Prices There will be prices for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd boat in each race and for the total 1st, 2nd and 3rd boat in the class. The World Champion in Offshore 3C 2018 will also receive a 3C-catamaran carved by chainsaw by Hans Gustafsson. Hans Gustafsson will make the boat at the last race day (August 4th) close to the pit area.
