TheCourseThecourseisdeliveredbyRichardPorter,VishalJasaniandRaheelMalikRichardisaConsultantSpecialistinRestorativeandImplantDentistryandOralRehabilitation.Heisavastlyexperiencedteacherhavingrunover100handsoncourses.Hehasahigherdiplomainpostgraduatedentalandmedicaleducationandiswellpublishedinpeerreviewedjournalsinsubjectsincludingtoothwear,compositebuildups,crownandbridge,gerodontology,occlusionandEndodontics.HeisaleadclinicianinrestorativedentistryatSt.GeorgesHospital,London,andhasaverysuccessfulprivatepracticebasedinLondon.Hehasplacedandrestoredover2000implants,hascompletedover5000rootcanalsandcountlessdirectandindirectrestorations.HeisontheGDCspecialistlistforRestorativeDentistry,Prosthodontics,EndodonticsandPeriodontology,isafatherandhusbandandwelcomesyoutothisgreatopportunitywiththeAspireDentalAcademy.RaheelworksinaprivatepracticeinNottingHill.AftergraduatingwithHonorsfrom Biomedical Sciences, Raheel qualified as a dentist from King's CollegeLondon, having won multiple awards as a student. In 2009, he won studentclinicianoftheyearandwas1strunnerupintheUKfinals.HealsowontheUKDentsply/Ceram.X Case Contest in 2010, amongst many others. Raheelgraduatedreceivingtheprestigious'AcademyofOperativeDentistry'Award.Hehas also won awards since graduation. Raheel had his first publication in'AestheticDentistryToday'asafinalyearstudentandhassincebeenpublishedmany times in several journals including the Journal of Oral Implantology,InternationalJournalofDentistry,theJournalofCraniofacialSurgery,andDentalUpdate.HehasalsobeeninterviewedintheBritishDentalJournalandDentistrymagazine.
Teachingisprovidedthroughseminars,hands-onpracticalexercisesandgroupdiscussions.Emphasisisplacedonthehands-onelementthroughoutthecourse.Wehaveputtogetherreadingmaterialforeachdayofthecourseandstronglyrecommendthatthisisreadbeforeeachdayinorderforyoutofullybenefitfromtheday’steaching.Furthercourseliteraturewillbeprovidedthroughoutincludinghand-outstocomplementthedaysteaching.Weencouragestudentstobringalongcasesandquestionstoeachsession,asattheendofeachdaytherewillbeadiscussionandFAQsession.
