TheCourseThecourseisdeliveredbyRichardPorter,VishalJasaniandRaheelMalikRichardisaConsultantSpecialistinRestorativeandImplantDentistryandOralRehabilitation.Heisavastlyexperiencedteacherhavingrunover100handsoncourses.Hehasahigherdiplomainpostgraduatedentalandmedicaleducationandiswellpublishedinpeerreviewedjournalsinsubjectsincludingtoothwear,compositebuildups,crownandbridge,gerodontology,occlusionandEndodontics.HeisaleadclinicianinrestorativedentistryatSt.GeorgesHospital,London,andhasaverysuccessfulprivatepracticebasedinLondon.Hehasplacedandrestoredover2000implants,hascompletedover5000rootcanalsandcountlessdirectandindirectrestorations.HeisontheGDCspecialistlistforRestorativeDentistry,Prosthodontics,EndodonticsandPeriodontology,isafatherandhusbandandwelcomesyoutothisgreatopportunitywiththeAspireDentalAcademy.VishalgraduatedfromKing'sCollegeLondonin2005.HeunderwentauniqueDwSITrainingprogrammerunbyLeadingRestorativeConsultantsfromStGeorge'sHospital,whoincludedRichardPorter,tohoneinhisEndodonticSkillsandrestorativeskillsasthetwoarecloselyintertwined.Hewentthroughthisintenseevidencebasedhandsonprogrammeover2years,constantlybeingappraisedandassessedbytheseConsultants,Specialistsintheirfield.Hequalifiedtopofhisclass,andwasofferedapositionintheRestorativeDepartmentatStGeorgesHospitalwhereheworkedalongsideRichardPorter,maturinghisrestorativedentistryskills.HeisalsotheprincipalofaDentalPracticeinSouthWestLondon,havingacquiredthispracticeduringhisendodontictrainingprogramme.Hehasaveryrareresponsibilitywhereheundertakesendodonticcases,referredtohimfromStGeorge'sHospitalandKingstonHospitalinhispractice-onlyahandfulofpractitionersaretrustedtodothisintheUK.Aswellasthis,hehasmadeanameforhimselfinthelocaldentalcommunitywithmanylocalpractitionersreferringtohimandaskingforassistanceandadvicewiththeirendodonticcases.Beingintheuniquepositionofowningapracticeandundertakinggeneraldentistryaswellasundertakinghighlevelendodonticsunderamicroscope,heisabletoappreciatetheconstraintsofgeneralpracticewithregardstoendodontics-somethingwhichnotallspecialistscanunderstand,andassuch,providepracticalreasonableadvicewhenitcomestoendodontics.SincejoiningtheAspireTeachingteam,Vishal'scarefulattentiontodetail,wealthofknowledgeanddirectbutpatientteachingstylehasmadehimafavouriteamonghisdelegates.RaheelworksinaprivatepracticeinNottingHill.AftergraduatingwithHonorsfrom Biomedical Sciences, Raheel qualified as a dentist from King's CollegeLondon, having won multiple awards as a student. In 2009, he won studentclinicianoftheyearandwas1strunnerupintheUKfinals.HealsowontheUKDentsply/Ceram.X Case Contest in 2010, amongst many others. Raheelgraduatedreceivingtheprestigious'AcademyofOperativeDentistry'Award.Hehas also won awards since graduation. Raheel had his first publication in

'AestheticDentistryToday'asafinalyearstudentandhassincebeenpublishedmany times in several journals including the Journal of Oral Implantology,InternationalJournalofDentistry,theJournalofCraniofacialSurgery,andDentalUpdate.HehasalsobeeninterviewedintheBritishDentalJournalandDentistrymagazine.

Teachingisprovidedthroughseminars,hands-onpracticalexercisesandgroupdiscussions.Emphasisisplacedonthehands-onelementthroughoutthecourse.Wehaveputtogetherreadingmaterialforeachdayofthecourseandstronglyrecommendthatthisisreadbeforeeachdayinorderforyoutofullybenefitfromtheday’steaching.Furthercourseliteraturewillbeprovidedthroughoutincludinghand-outstocomplementthedaysteaching.Weencouragestudentstobringalongcasesandquestionstoeachsession,asattheendofeachdaytherewillbeadiscussionandFAQsession.CPDHoursandReadingMaterialEachdayisworth7verifiable‘ContinuedProfessionalDevelopment’(CPD)hours.Acertificatewillbeproducedattheendoftheyearprovidedthecoursehasbeencompleted.Thereisnoformalassessmentinordertogainthehours,howevereachparticipantisrequiredtosigninasproofofattendance.Thereadingmaterialwillcontributetonon-verifiableCPDhoursaslongastheparticipantmakesarecordofthis.
