redefining eco.Combimix products are redefining what it means to be ‘ECO’ in the floor prep industry.

As knowledge expands on the potential adverse health-effects of building materials on indoor air quality, the construction industry is trending toward ‘Green Building’ as a solution. Green Building is the use of eco-friendly building methods and materials to create a healthier, more resource-efficient place to live or work. Products from Combimix containing the revolutionary Calcium Aluminate Technology™ are the only choice in the floor prep industry that truly meet this demand.

Combimix, having been a leader in cement technology in Europe for many years, quickly adapted to the green building trend by formulating a line of products based upon a much safer calcium aluminate cement technology. The reformulated Combimix line of products exceeded the tough Scandinavian environmental regulations and dramatically improved indoor air quality on finished projects. Their characteristics also resolved many of the other shortcomings found with traditional Portland cement-based products.

Combimix appropriately named these products ‘Low Prep’ (LP) based upon the Low amount of Preparation needed when compared to traditional Portland

cement-based material. This ‘Low Prep’ technology saves valuable time, labor

and energy. Combimix products can be installed directly over most substrates and all grade levels of concrete with minimal prep or need for scarifying or shotblasting of surfaces.

Improving indoor air quality.

Eco Advantages of Calcium Aluminate Technology™ from Combimix:

Ideal for Green Building projects with strict environmental and indoor air quality requirements

Contains no harmful latex or silica-fume

Safe to use with a lower pH than Portland cement-based products

Will not contribute to ‘sick building syndrome’

Dramatically improves indoor air quality compared to Portland cement-based products

Contributes points to LEED Certified Projects

Mold, mildew and bacteria resistant

Page 1/14

We have turned to GreenGuard for independent testing and verification to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

The chemicals causing indoor air pollution are far too many to list here. The GreenGuard Certification program test for more than 2000 individual chemicals that can cause headaches and dizziness, trigger asthma and allergies, and over the long term, may cause reproductive and developmental problems, neurological disorders, heart disease and cancer.

GreenGuard Indoor Air Quality Certified products are recognized and specified by the nation’s leading environmental organizations.

Level PegsCombimix Level Pegs are flexible, rubberized-vinyl measuring pieces that are used to help guide the pour depth of a self-leveling underlayment or topping. Level Pegs can be cut to the exact height required and are self-adhering to a substrate to prevent floating to the surface during a pour. The pieces are then buried in the cement compound becoming an integral part of the system.

SmootherCombimix offers a uniquely-designed notched smoother used for reducing the appearance of ‘smoother marks’ and to dissipate polymers when an underlayment or topping is used in smaller areas.

Smoother Handle HolderAttaches Combimix Smoother to broom handles

Form FoamUse Combimix Form Foam to create a dam to isolate a pour to a designated areas, such as doorways, etc. Form Foam comes in long strips and is self-adhering for easy installation.

Spike RollerCombimix Spike Rollers are designed to break surface tension and air bubbles from leveling compounds when applied at depths less than 1/4" average.
