About VIDM

Recognize and relate various contemporary fashion issues. Examine and critically evaluate the design process and provide innovative,

original and working solutions for the given design brief. Demonstrate fashion presentation skills, render fashion figure with details

A Diploma course in Fashion 

Designing at VIDM promises to offer students a nurturing environment that promotes originality and innovation. This 1-year course builds a strong foundation in terms of design sensibility and illustration, textile science, pattern cutting, garment construction and art studies. First semester focuses on Women’s wear and the second introduces Men’s wear.

ADMISSIONEligibility Criteria:

• For UG Courses:Candidates seeking admission should have completed 12 years of education under any Indian Education Board. Students who have passed or who will appear for qualifying examinations under the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC are eligible to apply for VEED (VIDM Entrance Examination for Designing) Test.

• For PG Courses:Candidates seeking admission should be graduates (in any discipline). Students who have passed or who will appear for their final examinations at the graduate level are eligible to apply for VEED (VIDM Entrance Examination for Designing) Test.

Selection Procedure:

2) CAT (Creative Ability Test) : 25% WeightageThe CAT will be for 1 Hour in which the candidate will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Conceptualization• Creative sensibilities• Aesthetics• Overall Presentation

1) VEED (VIDM Entrance Examination for Designing): 50% weightageVEED will be an online time-out test (45 minutes – 45 multiple choice questions) in which, the candidate shall be assessed on the following criteria:

• English Language Proficiency• Quantitative Ability• Analytical Ability• General Awareness• Managerial Ability

3) PI (Personal Interview): 25% WeightageThe personal interview will be assessed on the following parameters:

• Communication Skills• Alertness & Analytical Skills• General Awareness• Personality/Attitude

VEED WAIVER:

A student can skip the VEED if he/she has:• Appeared for either NID/NIFT (GAT+CAT)/PEARL(entrance)/SAT /CET/GMAT/CAT/MAT.

In case the students have not appeared for any of the above entrances• For UG programme 10+2 with minimum 60 % in CBSE or ISC exam is considered.• For PG programme the Students will be required to submit their graduation marks for consideration.
