Dear Fellow Laborer: What a fellowship, what a joy divine! The saints have gathered once again to worship God in the beauty of holiness! The Church of God in Christ is a Pentecostal aggregation that is on the cutting edge of ministry, we have the awesome privilege of being "COGIC"! Our Presiding Bishop has inspired our church through this year's theme: "Experiencing the Power of Jesus Christ Pursuing His Mission and His Righteousness". It is with this theme that we endeavor to advance the Kingdom of God. In order for you to really experience the power of Jesus Christ, you MUST pursue HIS Mission and His righteousness. The word pursue means for you to go after it vigorously. That's my challenge to you; go for it with all of your might, in order that you might please almighty God! I praise God for the harmony that continues within the ranks of the Adjutancy. Our Dean along with a team of great minds have worked diligently to develop a program suitable for your learning and development. They have spent many hours in prayer and coordination to create a great learning experience for you. Absorb everything that you can, so that you will be well equipped to fulfill the will of God in your life. Finally, please allow me to congratulate Dr. Doreatha J. Fields as the newly appointed "Assistant Dean". This is a first in the Adjutancy, a female assistant to the Dean! In closing, let us pray for the strength of our leader, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. and for our great church, the Church of God in Christ.

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” - 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (KJV)
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the joy of the Holy Spirit. May the grace, mercy and peace of Christ Jesus, our Savior, be with you all.
I welcome you with joy as we gather for the 2015 Summer Academy of the National Adjutancy of the Church of God in Christ. We gather - first and foremost - in a spirit of common prayer and worship endeavoring to listen for the voice of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
We have been called by God to serve our great Church and support the vision and Leadership of our Presiding Bishop, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. During this Season of Pentecost, we pray for renewal in the Spirit as we focus on the call to service, so that we may indeed do what God asks of us and let all people know that new and forgiven life in Christ is possible.
Jesus commands each of us to serve in the Spirit of Excellence as we fulfill our mandate of “Sanctifying the leader in the eyes of the people.” Each of you has labored long and hard to uphold the fundamentals of our ceremonial, liturgical and protocol traditions. Many of you have made it your life’s work to preserve the Sacred mysteries and to unveil the beauty of the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ through dignified and reverent ceremonial and liturgical decorum.
As I travel the length and breadth of this nation, I sense an emergence of vital energy in the Adjutancy and a new focus for Servant-Leadership. It is my sincere hope that we envision a brighter future and be willing to use our gifts and training in the service of our Lord and His Church.
Let us pray for the strength of our Leader, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. and for our great Church. Let the fire of love which binds together the Father and the Son be shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who will renew us in our lives and in our discipleship.
Grace and Peace,

The Academy Purpose and Mission
The Bible is replete with admonitions for believers to respect and honor Godly leadership. One of the ways the Church of God in Christ accomplishes the admonitions “to give honor to whom honor is due” and “in honor preferring one another”, is through the National Adjutancy Corp. The Adjutancy is the servant ministry of the church and it is composed of men and women of willing hearts who realize the value of “sanctifying” the leaders of the church in the eyes of the people...
We are living in changing times, the call of the Servant (Adjutant) has evolved into more than the basics of what you have learned over the years. The 2015 Adjutancy Academy will help you tap into a new realm of servant leadership. We are excited about the opportunity that we have to educate and prepare you to serve this generation of leaders. The Adjutant General along with the Dean of the Adjutancy, Overseer Guy Glimp, STM. and Assistant Dean of the Adjutancy, Dr. Doreatha J. Fields, have prepared each class with you in mind; your purpose, your call, your ministry and your destiny. Think. Learn. Grow.
