ADDITION TO THE USER AND
MAINTENANCE MANUAL
OF THE
INDUSTRIAL VACUUM
Preface
This manual is an addition to that indicated on the manufacturer's manual for the AC 65 and AC 100 series industrial vacuums, regarding the use of machines in environments containing potentially explosive dust. This manual is an integral part of the vacuum and must accompany it at all times, until its demolition. In the event it is lost or damaged, you shall request another copy from DEPURECO. The technical information contained in this manual is the exclusive property of DEPURECO and must be considered confidential. Reproduction, even partial, of graphics, text and illustrations is prohibited by law. Some details shown in the figures in this manual can differ from those on your vacuum; this is because some elements may be removed to ensure maximum clarity of the illustrations. For easier consultation, this manual is divided into sections that are identified by a specific graphic symbol. This manual must be kept in a place that can be easily accessed by the personnel in charge of running and maintaining the vacuum. Any dispute will be heard by the Court of TURIN (Italy).
This manual must accompany the vacuum even in the event it is sold!

1.3 Intended use
This model has been designed, manufactured and protected to be used solely for the extraction of dry powders, possibly flammable but not harmful. Suction of burning or blazing objects, such as cigarette butts, is prohibited.
1.4 Allowed environmental conditions
The vacuum has been designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres due to the presence of dusts, that is zone 21 and zone 22 according to Directive 99/92/EC. Use of the vacuum on a surface that is electrically insulating is prohibited.
1.5 Technical data

2. SAFETY SECTION
2.1 Safety requirements
The vacuum can operate in areas in which occasionally, during normal activities, the formation of an explosive atmosphere is probable, in the form of a cloud of combustible dust in the air.
It is possible to suck up explosive or flammable dust.
Suction of burning or blazing objects, such as sparks, embers or cigarette butts, is prohibited.
Do not vacuum up explosive or flammable gases and liquids.
Do not use the vacuum on electrically insulating surfaces and make sure that the wheels of the vacuum are always in direct contact with the ground.
2.2 Applied Directives
The following Directives apply to the vacuum described in this manual:
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
AtEx Directive 94/9/EC

3. HANDLING, UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION SECTION
3.1 Installation
The suction hose can be connected to the intake pipe union either through a sleeve (left picture), or directly by fixing it with a clamp (right image).
Attention! Before inserting the hose, make sure that the outside surface of the pipe union and the inside surface of the extraction hose or of the sleeve are clean. Any deposits of dust or dirt could compromise the system ground connection.
Insert the accessory according to the type of extraction on the opposite side of the hose.
Attention! Only use antistatic hoses, sleeves and accessories.
Connect the compressed air supply hose to the rubber holder fitting that enters into the pressure reducer, fixing the assembly adequately with the clamp provided.
9
Attention! Make sure that the outer surface of the rubber holder and the internal surface of the hose are clean. Any deposits of dust or dirt could compromise the system ground connection.
10
4. OPERATION SECTION
4.1 Operating cycle
Attention! After cleaning the filter, before locking the handwheel with the lever, make sure that the bottom surface of the washer under the handwheel and the spring ends are clean. Any deposits of dust or dirt could compromise the system ground connection.
4.2 Inserting and locking the refuse container
Attention! Before placing the container, make sure that no dust or anything that could limit the electrical continuity has deposited above the lifting bushing and below the container hook.

5. MAINTENANCE SECTION
5.1 Replacing the filter
Attention! During reassembly, make sure that the surfaces below are clean. Any deposits of dust or dirt could compromise the system ground connection.
- Filter support ring and internal surface of the filter
- Inside of the hose and fitting on the cover
12
- Locking hook and cover surface
- Washer of the filter-tensioning cage and spring on the cover
