NOTICE TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

DRAWING SHEETS ISSUED HEREWITH: E3.1; E6.0; E8.1; E9.2

BIDS DUE: until 2:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 (UNCHANGED) -- ISSUED TO ALL PLANHOLDERS

This Addendum is a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the previously issued Bidding Documents. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may result in rejection of this Bid.

SPECIFICATION CHANGES: ITEM NO. 1:

Section 00 52 00 – Agreement 1. Delete “control panel” from the grinder pump station item in the Base Bid Work for

Contract 1 – Site Work & Excavation. Clarification: The control panel for the grinder pump station will be provided by Contract 12 – Owner’s System Integrator.

2. Delete “Provide fencing around condenser unit.” from the Base Bid Work for Contract 1 –

Site Work & Excavation. Clarification: The work was removed in Addendum No. 1.

3. Delete “Provide pipe heat tracing, thermostats, and related items.” from the Base Bid

Work for Contract 10 – Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation. Clarification: Heat tracing is not required on the project.

ITEM NO. 2:

Section 21 00 00 – Fire Protection 1. Delete Paragraph 2.02.D.3 and replace with the following:

“3. Use grooved connections for 2-1/2 inches or larger and schedule 40 threaded or schedule 10 grooved connections for 2 inches and under.”

2. Section 2.02.E Clarification: Hard piping pendent sprinklers to the ceiling is also acceptable.


ITEM NO. 3:

Section 23 81 00 – Air Cooled Condensing Unit

1. Add Paragraph 3.03.C: “The manufacturer shall employ a Factory Certified Technician (employed by the manufacturer) within 20 miles of the job site to perform start-up, owner training and labor during the warranty period.”

ITEM NO. 4:

Section 26 32 14 - Gas Engine Generators:

1. Paragraph 2.01.A: Delete “Model C125 N6” and replace with “Model C150 NG”.

2. Delete Paragraph 2.02.A.1 and replace with the following:

“Capacity: 150 KW, 480/277 volt, 3-phase, 4-wire system with a minimum motor starting

alternator KVA rating of 607 KVA at 90% of sustained voltage.”

ITEM NO. 5:

Section 26 36 23 - Automatic Transfer Switches;

1. Paragraph 2.02.G.1: Delete “225 amp” and replace with “260 amp”.

ITEM NO. 6: Section 27 20 00

1. Add the following to Paragraph 1.05.B: “4. Windemuller 5. Shoreline 6. CS Erickson”

ITEM NO. 7:

Section 28 20 00 - Surveillance System:

1. Delete Paragraph 1.05.E and replace with the following:

“E. The VSS shall consist of four (4) digital video cameras. There will be three (3) outdoor mounted cameras suitable for mounting on the Administration and Lab building and one (1) outdoor mounted camera suitable for mounting on lighting pole. The system shall be wired for an additional pole mounted camera in the location show. The system shall be sized to allow for a minimum of four (4) additional cameras in the future without additional hardware or licensing.”

ITEM NO. 8:

Section 40 95 10 - Process Control Panels:

1. Add paragraph 2.04.F:

“F. All control panels shall include a surge suppressor on the incoming 480VAC feeder. Surge suppression device shall be UL 1449 Edition 3 compliant. Surge suppressor shall be MOV type and rated for 40KA. Transtector, Bussman, Erico or approved equal.”

DRAWING CHANGES: ITEM NO. 9:

SHEET C2.2 – Site Utility Plan 1. Add the following note where the proposed electric crosses the sidewalk to the Existing

Maintenance Building: “REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING SIDEWALK FOR DUCT BANK INSTALLATION”

ITEM NO. 10:

SHEET M8.2 – Mechanical Details 1. On the Gas Meter Detail: Change gas demand from “1665 CFH” to read “1915 CFH”.

The pipe size to the generator is not changed.


2. On the Generator Piping Detail: Change gas demand from “1665 CFM” to read “1915 CFH”.

ITEM NO. 11:

SHEET E1.1 – Enlarged Electrical Site Plan 1. Add call out to ACCU-1 located north of the Mechanical Room and show conduit

between ACCU-1 and the building. ITEM NO. 12:

SHEET E3.1 – Maintenance and Equipment Storage Building Lighting Plans (Re-issued) 1. Revise Plan Note 4 to read as follows:

“4. WASH BAY IS A WET LOCATION. PROVIDE PVC COATED CONDUIT AND WET LOCATION FITTINGS. ELECTRICAL RACEWAY AND JUNCTION BOXES IN SPACE TO BE WATERTIGHT AND CORROSIONRESISTANT.”

ITEM NO. 13:

SHEET E6.0 – Electrical Single-Line Diagram (Re-issued) 1. Changes to increase size of components. 2. Changes to clarify ownership of service equipment.

ITEM NO. 14:

Sheet E8.0 – Electrical Details 1. Delete the following note from Detail 6: In-Ground Handhole Detail.

“DRAIN TO NEAREST MANHOLE WITH SUMP PUMP. SIZE AS REQUIRED 2” MINIMUM.”

ITEM NO. 15:

Sheet E8.1 – Electrical Details (Re-issued) 1. Revise Duct Bank Key items P1 and P5.

ITEM NO. 16:

Sheet E9.2 – Fire Alarm, Surveillance, and County Network Riser Diagram (Re-issued) 1. Revise the Fire Alarm System Riser Diagram to include devices in the Equipment

Storage Building. 2. Add the following to Plan Notes:

“4. PROVIDE COAX SURGE PROTECTION DEVICE FOR POLE MOUNTED CAMERAS IN THE IT ROOM. LOCATE THE SPD IN THE CABLE BEFORE THE CABLE ENTERS THE IT-RACK.”

CLARIFICATIONS:

1. Contract 12 – Owner’s System Integrator is to provide the scope of work outlined in Section 40 95 10 Process Control Panels. This work should not be included Contract 10 – Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation.

2. The bid opening is still planned to be held at the Township Hall. The total number of attendees may be limited due to current health and safety guidelines related to Covid19.
