NOTICE TO BIDDERS
A. This Addendum is issued to all registered plan holders pursuant to the Instructions to Bidders
and Conditions of the Contract. This Addendum serves to clarify, revise, and supersede
information in the Project Manual, Drawings, and previously issued Addenda. Portions of the
Addendum affecting the Contract Documents will be incorporated into the Contract by
enumeration of the Addendum in the Owner/Contractor Agreement.
B. The Bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the appropriate space on the Bid
Form.
ATTACHMENTS
A. This Addendum includes the following attached Sheets:
1. Architectural Sheet AD-100 – DEMOLITION PLAN, dated 4/28/2020, (reissued).
REVISIONS TO DRAWING SHEETS
A. Replace Sheet AD-100 – DEMOLITION PLAN with revised Sheet AD-100, included in the
Attachments.
CLARIFICATIONS
A. RFI #4 – Alternate #1 Question
Pinnix General Contractors: Will the new curtain wall systems have new sun shades,
reuse existing or none at all? On A201 it appears there is a sun shade, however on the
enlarged elevation on A202 there is not one shown.

LS3P: Provide new sunshades compatible with selected curtain wall system, to replace
existing shade devices. Refastening of existing components would result in damage to the
proposed new curtain wall.
B. RFI #5 – Alternate #1 Question
Pinnix General Contractors: There are horizontal blinds on the existing curtain wall
windows. Are we to remove and reinstall on the new curtain walls or provide and install
new?
LS3P: Install new blinds on all replaced units.
C. RFI #6 – Alternate #1 Question
Pinnix General Contractors: The condensate lines for the mini splits are running through
the windows to be replaced on the east elevation. I could not access the inside to see how
these are routed on the interior due to asbestos abatement at this time. Are these to be
removed and reinstalled in the new storefronts or relocated to a new penetration through
the wall?
LS3P: These lines should be rerouted through the new curtainwall/storefront units where
insulated metal infill panels (Mapes or similar) are provided to match existing.
D. RFI #7 – Alternate #1 Question
Pinnix General Contractors: There are what appear to be 1.5” copper condensate drain
lines that are penetrating the existing curtain wall frames. Are these to be removed and
reinstalled in the new curtain wall frames or in a new wall penetration?
LS3P: Lines would be reinstalled similar to response for item C, routed through insulated
panel and not through the structure of the curtain wall framing.

F. VERIFY THAT CONSTRUCTION INDICATED FOR REMOVAL IS NOT LOAD BEARING OR IS ADEQUATELY SHORED AS INDICATED ON STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS PRIOR TO STARTING ANY WORK.
G. ERECT BARRICADES, FENCES OR OTHER SECURABLE MEANS TO PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS INTO CONSTRUCTION ZONES.
H. DO NOT ALLOW MATERIAL AND DEBRIS GENERATED BY DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES TO ACCUMULATE ON THE JOB SITE. REMOVE DAILY AND DISPOSE OF IN A LEGAL MANNER. NO ON-SITE SALE OR BURNING OF REMOVED ITEMS IS PERMITTED.
I. THE CONTRACTOR MUST MAINTAIN ADEQUATE SUPPORT OF INSULATION, WATERPROOFING, EMERGENCY LIGHTING, SECURITY, ALARMS, ETC. FOR ALL OR PART OF ITEMS WHICH ARE TO REMAIN.
J. TERMINATE AND CAP ANY UTILITY IN WALLS CEILINGS AND FLOORS TO BE REMOVED AND NOT INTENDED FOR REUSE.
K. PREPARE AND PATCH SURFACES THAT RECEIVE NEW FINISHES AS REQUIRED BY REMOVING OR RELOCATING DEVICES, WIRING OR OTHER APPURTENANCES NO LONGER APPROPRIATE FOR THE NEW USE OF THE ROOM.
