Currently Barnstable Public Schools does not have half day kindergarten and does NOT require the use of exclusive midday kindergarten buses. Should the district reinstitute half day kindergarten, which could be bringing home a.m. session and brining in the p.m. session or just one session and typically theses buses ran from 11:30 to 12:30 and did not interfere with prime time. Please provide a quote for a midday kindergarten bus, as follows:
Yearly Price per bus for a Kindergarten run: _______________________________
Kindergarten buses are assigned as needed and vary in number based on Kindergarten enrollment.(*Divide the cost of the bus, yearly, by 180 days to equal the daily Kindergarten figure:____________)
Late buses are not within the School Department’s budget, at this time. Should they be needed in the future, please provide the cost per day/per bus here. Late runs should not be a cost factor in this proposal as they are generally after hours or non prime time, are approx.. up to an hour in length and do not interfere with the regular route buses. Please provide a quote for a late bus as follows:
Price per day/per bus for a late run: ________________________________
The School Dept. reserves the right to add late runs to existing buses that are available to cover them. For example: A single tier route that is available for a late run at such times designated by the schools. If this route gets assigned a late run, on the days it participates as one, it shall be billed as a double tier run only on the days it actually performs the service. The cost difference would be whatever the contracted rate between tiers is. These figures are NOT to be included in the contract pricing as currently there is no half day kindergarten and late runs are billed separately from the contracted daily rate. Provided with the RFP documents, you will find copies of the Routes/Runs as they are done, now. These sheets will provide you with an approximate mileage and time for each route/run. These figures should be used in calculating the proposal price being proposed as stated above.
In the event that a single or double tier run gets a route added to it, provided it is above and beyond the requirements stated in Section F, Paragraph 5, than the price billed for that bus shall now become a double or triple rate, depending on which it is and the billing will be adjusted accordingly. If for any reason routes are deleted, for example, a triple run becomes a double run or a double becomes a single run, than that bus will now be billed at the double or single rate, and the billing will be adjusted accordingly.
If another whole bus run is needed, in addition to the existing runs, for example: there are 50 buses and another whole bus is needed making it 51, then the price for that bus for the year shall be set based on whether it is ie… a single, double or triple run.
If for any reason whole bus runs are deleted, if that whole bus was a single, double or a triple, the contractor is to no longer bill that bus and the billing will be adjusted accordingly.
When a bus changes from one rate to another, single, double or triple, the new rate will take effect on the day the bus changes. For example: Bus #1 becomes a triple run and was a double, if the change becomes effective on October 15, beginning on that date, the billing will change to a triple run rate and the monthly payment shall reflect that change. Same terms will be apply to deletions.
*The price per day figure is being used strictly for billing purposes for adding and deleting costs associated with the monthly billing in the event bus routes/runs are added or deleted.

Attached you will find copies of the Routes/Runs as they are done, now.

Please provide a quote for a midday kindergarten bus, as follows:Yearly Price per bus for a Kindergarten run: _______________________________Kindergarten buses are assigned as needed and vary in number based on Kindergarten enrollment.(*Divide the cost of the bus, yearly, by 180 days to equal the daily Kindergarten figure:____________)Late buses are not within the School Department’s budget, at this time. Should they be needed in the future, please provide the cost per day/per bus here. Late runs should not be a cost factor in this proposal as they are generally after hours or non prime time, are approx.. up to an hour in length and do not interfere with the regular route buses. Please provide a quote for a late bus as follows:Price per day/per bus for a late run: ________________________________The School Dept. reserves the right to add late runs to existing buses that are available to cover them.
