Tips for Complete DataAcross all of STAR• Use ‘Copy from Start Date’ for End Date• Template ‘good records’ in each section

– Use Save/Clone to enter another similar record• Geographic Scope

– Sponsoring organization, not the physical location• Use STAR monthly update form• Context is everything: Who, What, Where, When

Tips for Complete Data• If an activity was repeated or happened more

than once, use the Academic Year (Jul 1 – Jun 30).

• Use ‘authoritative’ sources for information– Grants DB, PubMed, Scopus

• Avoid using the ‘* Other – please specify’ values(Wherever Possible)

• Avoid acronyms• Validate your data to know for future updates
