RAISING HEART DESTROY

In a different world a different device was created; a replica of an Ancient Belka-type armored device which was

created by borrowing a magic increasing system. It wasn`t created by the TSAB; the economical weight and task

of research and creation of the outer appearance of the device was put onto the shoulders of the sole device

master.

Bol Scrya scion of Scrya family - was a talented man with unorthodox techniques. The creator of numerous

excellent devices, he was a gentle and caring man and people adored him for that. But he was old and wreaked

by illness; he could feel the approach of death.

So he gave in and took the TSAB's previous request. By request, Bol, admitting the usefulness of a cartridge

system, made a device with built-in cartridges, and thought it would make the process quick and convenient. He

personally chose the talented members of his research team. They created a device that could limitlessly charge

magic energy for its owner, equipped with a Built-in type magical charge system (Active Charge System). But the

device continued to suck on its owner's magical energy even when he reached his/her limit, so the creators

decided the device needed flexible regulation. So they decided to combine it with a first-class Intelligent Device.

Now, the self-regulating system reduced magical energy consumption to a minimum, while the owner`s control

over the device was hardly limited. Comparative experiments showed that the Active Charge System was

superior to the standard cartridge system. But for the Bureau, this system was too complicated to support and

wasn`t well-received. And in the end, the A.C.S was replaced by the more popular cartridge system.

Bol was furious when the Bureau rejected his invention: though on first sight he remained calm, he turned this

weapon against its ownerhe overrode the interdiction of full outer control and disbanded the research team

after paying them under the terms of the contract. Eventually, the Bureau admitted that very few people can

use this device. After this statement, every member of the research team who held information was called

back. Almost every data was saved.

Bol, consumed by his anger toward TSAB, boosted the system. He improved the system that increased the

personal energy output of the wielder, as he wanted to get away from the TSAB's policies on relying on sheer

numbers.

The anger drove the researcher forward, but the end of Bols life was near. Originally a kind man, he started to

inflict fear even on his co-workers. But creation still wasnt finished; he still wasnt satisfied. The system

research was stopped at half-way. He personally created his last masterpiece - the Raising Heart, the

information about this project a secret. It was a heavy guarded secret put under password and no one was

allowed to talk about it. The system was put under quarantine, for the TSAB couldn t remove the life threat for

its users if they didn`t fit two criteria: they must have a large amount of mana and they must have fullcompatibility with Raising Heart. After completing his most masterfully crafted Intelligent Device the Raising

Heart, Bol died. The one who obtained it was his distant relative the genius young archeologist Yuuno Scrya.

The communication with him was lost just after three months.

Bol`s personal invention. Raising Heart Destroy`s (later RHD) basic form. The un-orthodox modification of an

existing device. It was newly created as a basis for using the Active Charge System. The device`s core was built-

in into its case and allowed user to regulate it.

As defense it can hold most of destructive energy. Even though RHD research data was hidden, the most basic

instruction is known to find itself a special magic-talented owner and was programmed to no matter what

prioritize his orders above all. But research was only half done, and annulations of the contract affected the

system dearly, and pleas for renewal were futile; the only way to save the contract was to find the owner with

maximum magical potential, so the last days of Bol were filled with bickering and conflicts.

When the research was halted, the suitable owner wasn`t found. As Bol made the last improvement, the owner

that has a strong will should be able to change the flexible structure of device.

It has a shocking resemblance to the original Raising Heart`s Buster Mode, proving that two people can have the

same idea.

Nightmare Mode

Bol left inside of the RHD core the message for last possibility of improvement. In the beginning he made the

structure of the device flexible. RHD chose to cooperate with Nanoha Takamachi, going to the second stage andturning into her second form.

After activation, mechanism totally changing. The Device`s material has zero resistance against reconstruction

and cylinders make ten revolutions. The Active Charge System mechanism becomes wider and start to fill with

mana from its owner through linking, still regulating ultra-large magical energy output. The bloated frame has a

strong skeleton and is prepared to meet any type of dangers and in addition has numerous protection

mechanisms. The device is prepared to enforce its owner with overwhelming power and to make sure that owner

will emerge victorious from every fight.

The current wielder, Nanoha Takamachi, mastered it perfectly in order to use her marksman skills. This mode is

much different from ACT, whose sole purpose is pure magical blasts.

Moreover, this mode's piercing power is even stronger than the famous Strike Flame and makes significant

demonstration of its spear-head`s power. This form can sprout energy wings; many common features can be

found with original.

The built-in magical energy super storage and boost mechanism

Active Charge System

Device Master Bol Scrya developed it when he worked under the TSAB, the ultra boost system that drags mana

from another dimension; we will call it ACS later.

Even though that Raising Heart's Accelerate Charge System has the same short name, that system in general

makes a sharp boost from injection of highly compressed magical energy. This system simply lives up to its name.

The system, instead of cartridges have a built-in mechanism with cylinders. Those built-in cylinders are placed in

chambers numbered from 1 to 2. Each chamber has 12 built-in cylinders. Cylinders are always connected with

the device, so this mechanism didn`t need the cartridges like the cartridge system did. Moreover, the

mechanism didn`t need additional parts for activation and despite its size it can find material for accumulation

almost everywhere. This system is so effective that one cylinder has a capacity 1.4 times larger than Mid-

Childa`s cartridge system`s cartridge. In standby mode a cylinder`s activation time is 0.1 seconds. To fully

charge the entire mechanism you need only one cylinder`s activation. If the system wasn`t so complicated, it

would be a massive advantage over the cartridge system.

For example, you would require five cartridges in an automatic cartridge system and 1 second in order to boost

your strength, but you needed only one cylinder and 0.1 seconds with an ACS. Those circumstances comprise a

massive difference in usage. However, instant overflow of mana is admittedly tremendous and the strain that

device puts onto its wielder make the ACS quite difficult to use.

Since it's a completely built-in system, unlike cartridges, it didn`t need any time to reload. Recharging is just

like a magazine reload, but after using the entire chamber it just closes, so the owner didnt need to spend any

time or space to deal with it, just to bear the device with him. The owner didn`t need to worry about reserves,

since the ACS has a reserve 34 times larger than Mid-Childa`s cartridge systems. At the same time, however, the

cost of manufacture of this kind of device for battle operations is ten times larger than a normal one.

The big flaw of this system still remained: the necessity of the wielder`s own mana for the device`s support. The

device, even while on standby mode, continues to drain a small amount of mana from the owner`s Core; in

truth, the device vents a micro-amount of mana into inter-dimensional void. To support the magical device, the

owner was forced to always use a fixed amount of mana. There was only one way to switch the magical device to

standby mode: to use the stored energy completely.

But, the owner should use all of the cylinders' stored mana in order to put the ACS to standby mode, but even in

standby mode, the device required a buffer zone of data link and channel of mana supply. Again a little amount

of eternal linking was necessary, and thus causes the mana-sucking effect to occur, and closing the channel

was impossible. And, in order to use it, the owner should every day continue to feed the device with his magical

energy even when it was on standby mode. It didn`t sound very hard, but it wasn`t small task either.

In the heat of the battle it became a large flaw of device, as the difficulty of usage and loss of mana was a flaw

that was impossible to overlook.

If from the beginning an Ace-class mage used the device, then optimal adjustments would have been found and

the system would get the same level of prevalence as the cartridge system, and deal with TSAB go into right

way.

When Bol got the message about the rejection of the built-in system of RHD he personally made improvements of

the device.

Those improvements were an additional two chambers to raise the count to three.

The first defect was a drain of energy outside the device.

Excluding the wielder` mana, the 1st chamber collects the thinnest crumbs of mana dissolved into natural

surroundings. The mana that lay inside of plants and animals, it could drain and use any type of mana that was

existing inside of various magical items. In addition, it was programmed to absorb mana from pure magical

blasts; binds too. When they make direct contact with wielder, they start to rapidly dissolve and he is able todestroy any barrier as it drains mana from any nearby mages` magical devices.

RHD stores the sucked mana and normally is able to immediately use it. But still, it wasn`t enough to fill up all

cylinders. Moreover, the device still needs to suck the wielder's mana for its own support.

The second chamber can store a much larger amount of mana.

In the creation of the second chamber, Bol utilized forbidden techniques involving special class Lost Logia for

energy storage. The environment of the mechanism was created from extra-strong materials for its usage since

the 2nd chamber`s cylinders stored 10 times more mana than the cylinders of the first chamber. After using all

mana stored in the cylinders of the 1st chamber the owner could use the cylinders in the 2nd chamber. By their

program cylinders should be used by the way of turn (in order). The 2nd chamber`s 12 cylinders have 10 times

more capacity and if all cylinders were ignited at the same time they could instantly increase user's amount of

mana by 132 times.

The third chamber is unknown in the current time.
