CLIPS

ACE 4000 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSTOOL OPERATION1. Set rail to be clipped on top of tool

anvil (f). Check for a good fit:

Max rail height : 1-3/4 “ (44.5mm). Min rail height: 5/8 “ (15.9mm).

There should be 1/8” (3.18mm) of clearance between the rail and the side plate cutout edge (G) above it.

To raise or lower the anvil to the right height, depress the blue button on the end of the quick release pin (H). Remove pin. Position the anvil as needed so rail is at the right clipping height. Select opening in side plate that aligns best with one of the two openings in the anvil, and slide the pin in.

2. Squeeze trigger (I) to install clip.

UNLOADING CLIPS

fIRST, DISCONNECT AIR. Then depress latch under pusher to release forward pressure on clips. Slide clips towards back of tool and lift out of magazine.

TO GET STARTED

1. Install a ¼” NPT fitting (not included) into air inlet opening in the back of the housing, using suitable thread sealant. DO NOT REMOVE RED PLUG LOCATED ABOVE THIS OPENING.

2. Use suitable coupler to connect air hose to fitting as shown at right. Recommended air supply is 80-90 psi (5.5–6.2 bar) of dry, lubricated air.

ACE clipping tool air consump-tion (SCFM), assuming 90 psi and 1 cycle per second, is 3.56. Assuming 80 psi and 1 cycle per second, SCFM is 3.22.

BEfORE fIRST USE AND RECOMMENDED DAILY MAINTENANCE

Add 2-3 drops of air tool oil (10-weight recommended) to air inlet hose fitting (A) and openings between the side plates at these two locations:

• inthegapatthebackofthetop plate and the housing (B)

• theopeningonthefrontplate (C), as shown on affixed label

LOADING CLIPS1. Connect air supply to air inlet hose fitting (A), keeping fingers and

hands away from blade and anvil area.

2. Pull pusher (D) back until it latches at the end of clip magazine (E). Feed clips into magazine until they stop against the tool blade.

3. Secure clips in place by depressing pusher latch on underside of magazine.
