SUMMARY Responsible for performing a variety of finance and budgeting functions and/or transactions

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Handling full cycle of accounts payable/accounts receivable activities including auditing and verifying accuracy

Prepare and process fiscal transactions Review and reconcile billing records and accounts

Perform general administrative duties including filing, mail distribution and record retention KSA’s Principles, methods and practices of fiscal and financial record keeping, including automated accounts payable/receivable and

payroll systems

Procedures, methods and office equipment used in statistical record keeping

General office procedures; related laws and ordinances

Understand, interpret and apply the fundamental principles of accounting and general fiscal and financial record keeping practices in the performance of assigned tasks

Maintain ledgers and journals

Analyze fiscal data Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Performs entry level, routine accounting clerical work involving basic numeric calculations for a small segment of an agency's fiscal management section. Gather, compile and reconcile fiscal data. Examines and verifies routine fiscal transactions such as, billing invoices, accounts receivable/ accounts payable, payroll or other financial documents. Record keeping. Journal entries.

Performs journey level accounting-related tasks within an automated fiscal services system. Applies accounting principles and practices within government institutions. Gather, compile and reconciles fiscal data. Examines and verifies fiscal transactions such as billing invoices, accounts receivable/ accounts payable, payroll or other financial documents. Record keeping. May assist in the preparation of reports summarizing financial transactions. Journal and ledger entries

Performs advanced, senior level accounting-related tasks within an agency’s fiscal management division. May review, verify or inspect the work of lower level staff. Applies accounting principles and practices used within government institutions. Gather, compile and reconcile fiscal data. May write detailed reports summarizing financial transactions. Examines and verifies fiscal transactions such as billing invoices, accounts receivable/ accounts payable, payroll. Record keeping, data analysis, verifies accuracy, timeliness. Ledger entries.
