Available Applications and Vintages

6This presentation does not contain U.S. Code Title 13 information

Presenter
Presentation Notes
Two mapping applications are available here TIGERweb and TIGERweb Decennial TIGERweb application contains four vintages: current, two years of American Community Survey (ACS) and Census 2010. The TIGERweb Decennial application contains two vintages: Census 2010 and Census 2000. Two vintages contained in TIGERweb and TIGERweb Decennial refer to the TIGER benchmarks (snapshots of the TIGER data in the Census Bureaus Master Address File -- MAF/TIGER data base). The CB creates two benchmarks a year – one in May the other in September.

Presentation Notes
Left hand side tabs Layers Legend and Task Results Can change Vintage from “current” to ACS to Census 2010 Can turn on/off the layers You will need to zoom into the map in order to see the layers – you can zoom in via the scroll bar on your mouse or by the scroll bar. In Safari the scroll wheel on my mouse did not scroll into a specific area so I would use the bar (go over 3 icons above scroll bar – Find my location/Default extent/Clear Map) Upper Right hand corner: Search for address – Will have to enter all information street address etc. using 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington DC 20500 after enter address hit enter once you select your address you will be automatically directed there. Go over the icons to the right. Also discuss the Landmass icon.
