Accessible Parking A parking fee is required to park on any California State University campus according to State law. All vehicles, including those with a distinguishing disabled placard or plate, must also display a valid CSUMB parking permit.
Parking in a posted accessible parking space requiresA valid DMV issued disabled placard or a disabled person/disabled veteran license plate, AND a valid CSUMB parking permit.
Persons displaying a valid DMV DP placard or a DP/DV license plate AND a valid CSUMB parking permit may also park without regard to the time limit at a green curb, in visitor parking, or at a metered space without paying a parking meter fee.
You may not park• In spaces marked with a crosshatched pattern• At red curbs, yellow curbs (commercial vehicles only), or white curbs (passenger loading/
unloading only – driver must remain with vehicle at all times)
ImportantYour parking placard or plate may only be used by you. Never loan your placard to another, or alter a placard or placard i.d. card.
All persons displaying a DP placard or DP/DV license plate must have in their possession at all times their DMV-issued DP/DV id card and state-issued photo id which must be presented upon request by Parking Services or a Police Officer for verification.

To apply for a Disabled Person temporary or permanent placard visit the DMV website at dmv.ca.gov or call 1-800-777-0133 to obtain a form (Reg 195) for a parking placard or special plates. Qualified persons (295.5 CVC) may apply by mail or in person at a DMV field office.
