c) Europe’s top priority should be the exploitation of the full potential of the LHC, including the high-luminosity upgrade of the machine and detectors with a view to collecting ten times more data than in the initial design, by around 2030. This upgrade programme will also provide further exciting opportunities for the study of flavour physics and the quark-gluon plasma.

Giving support to the Director for Accelerators and Technology in his mission by ensuring the follow-up of technical and administrative files, following-up the implementation of decisions of the Director for Accelerators and Technology;

Ensuring the reporting and information exchange among the Director, Department Heads and Project Leaders of the Accelerator and Technology sector;

Analysing quantified data for the Director for Accelerators and Technology, designing and budgeting the implementation of measures considered by the Director; preparing annual documents at the level of the A&T sector (MTP, MPP, APR, Annual Report, …) with the help of Department Heads, Project Leaders and DPOs;

Preparing Director’s negotiations and arbitration inside the sector of Accelerators and Technology or between sectors;

Participating to discussions for the Director for Accelerators and Technology.
