WELCOME TO THE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE ASSEMBLY
At a time when the Newington Community is looking forward to all that a new year holds it is an honour to take the time to recognise and celebrate the academic achievements of the departing Year 12 cohort of 2018.
Over the course of last year, 233 boys trod their own paths towards the end of Year 12. Whether it was through the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC), the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) or nationally-recognised qualifications through Vocational Education Pathways (VET) their individual journeys have been just that – individual.
As a school community, we are proud of them all. Today we recognise the outstanding academic successes from 2018, and celebrate the energy and commitment that brought each of these young men to this point.
I hope that you enjoy being part of today’s special assembly and celebrating with them.
