Absences: Please send an email or notice to inform the school of your childs absence. Early departures and late arrivals to school must be signed in at the office. Writing The Writing Process stages are taught explicitly and The Writers Notebook gives students experience with all writing genres. There are opportunities for the study of syntax and the different parts of speech in literacy blocks. Word study- Words your Way program provides hands on opportunities to manipulate word features and explore sound, pattern and meaning. Mathematics- Targeted maths lessons to support and build on students current mathematical knowledge of Number and Algebra, Measurement & Geometry and Statistics & Probability. Open-ended tasks and investigations that tie in with our Inquiry units. For example, in How we organise ourselves, students engage in real life math problems through authentic tasks such as organising, running and evaluating a business. AUSVELS learning strands of History, Geography and Economics are embedded in our Units of Inquiry. Well Being- Circle Time to promote Emotional Literacy and Cyber safety
