Formtek has integrated Ephesoft capture into Enterprise Content Management solutions based on both Alfresco and Nuxeo.

In 2014, Formtek became a Nuxeo® Partner to provide the industrial market with another option for open source Enterprise Content Management. The Nuxeo Platform is a highly customizable and extensible content management platform for building business applications. The Formtek Engineering Data Management Solution provides a secure, enterprise engineering document, drawing and AutoCAD® file management and collaboration foundation that allows a business to effectively manage all engineering documentation across its distributed enterprise. The EDM Solution works with either Alfresco or Nuxeo, and includes the EDM Connector for AutoCAD, which allows synchronization directly between the chosen repository and the AutoCAD application.

The Formtek Extensions for Alfresco improve the functionality within Alfresco and satisfy the use cases for many Alfresco implementations.

• Peer Association makes it possible for associations to be established between documents within Alfresco Share.

• File Linking allows a single document stored in Alfresco to be accessible from multiple locations without physically duplicating the document.

• Version Browser allows a user to select any older document version in Alfresco Share and view its Web preview and associated metadata, or download that version.

• Auditing provides a complete audit log for every file and folder within Alfresco. The Extension is integrated within the Alfresco Share interface and, when selected, displays the audit log for a file or folder, including the action performed, the date and time the action occurred, and the user that performed the action.

• PDF Rendering provides a PDF rendition with watermarking, if desired, of an Alfresco-supported file type. If the Formtek EDM Module is installed, this includes rendering of .dwg, .dxf and .dwf file types into PDF.
