The electronic industry has placed a growing emphasis on reliability and quality assurance. ESD damage to ESDS and assemblies can be minimized by using ESD control measures.

• Handle electrostatic discharge sensitive devices (ESDS) only in an ESD protected area (EPA)• Avoid electrostatic potential differences and electrostatic discharges• Use wrist straps, approved footwear and floor combination for personnel grounding• Wear properly fastened dissipative garments• No electrostatic generating materials (normal PE, PVC, PS, etc.) are allowed inside an EPA• Do not expose ESDS to electrostatic fields > 100V / cm!• Use only approved ESD protective packaging materials• Awareness, personnel training, continuous monitoring are essential for maintaining a static control program

PGT 2000-MANAGER / PGT 2000-VIEWER

When the additional software package 01 is installed, the PGT2000 Manager generates a so called “Missmeas data base”, which is listing all personnel who failed the test or did not perform the test. All personnel which had performed the test successfully will not be shown anymore on this list.

When the additional software package 01 is installed the “measurement data” and the “missmeas data” are exported to a separate “EXPORT directory” according to a free adjustable time interval.The PGT2000 viewer program (supplied with software package 01) can be installed on several PC’s in order to access the exported data.

The PGT2000-Manager program (supplied with each PGT2000 unit) allows to see reports of the measurements which includes: “date/time” of measurement, personal number, name of per-son, at which unit the test had been performed and the test results.
