Hello all HHYC members June has been a great month for cruising ending with the best Rock the Dock party at Bell Street Marina. Friday started with Salmon on the grill and music from Love Jacks. Although it was cloudy and cool we were graced with a rainbow over the band and a very interested heron that sat right behind the band and rocked out with all of us. We do have a new winner of the rubber ducking award, our future commodore Dane Fantz. Saturday started with clearing skies and full breakfast (eggs, French toast and sausage) followed by visits to the Pike Place Market and Seattle waterfront. The day ended with great steaks and live music from Solstice. Rock the Dock ended Sunday with another wonderful breakfast (eggs, blueberry pancakes and sausage) on a sunny warm morning. This was truly an epic event and many thanks to our hosts Michael and Laura Williamson and Dane and Terry Fantz. In addition, thanks to all our members who lent a hand to make this event such a success. WELL DONE !!!!!! There will be a raft up in Poulsbo July 3rd for fireworks.
The following weekend July 8th thru the 10th will be rendezvous at Pt. Hudson Marina. Please let us know if you are attending 425-614-3719 or respond to the evite. This is a wonderful town and a great place to start your trip north or just spend the weekend. If you don’t want to take the boat, camping and RV parking are available on site. The next event will be the Crab festival at Anacortes over Labor Day weekend. There will be more info to follow. If you plan to attend please contact Cap Sante Marina for reservations. Please join us at Tutta Bella on July 12th for the board meeting. Just a reminder there will be no board meeting or newsletter in August so that we may spend more time cruising. Finally, please be safe out on the water this summer and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest waters.
See you there Mary Scott, Commodore
