Student’s Achievements Saubhagya of B. Arch (2nd Year) worked with the scientists of ‘Society of Agro-foresters’ who developed Bio-fuel from a plant called Salix which will be marketed by ‘Salix Pvt Ltd’. He is currently the part of ‘Salix Pvt Ltd’ and has developed a Green Architecture firm,

called ‘DakshKrit’ which is in collaboration with ‘Salix Pvt Ltd’. He is also heading the project as on ‘Use of Salix in Architecture’ for which he is also receiving a scholarship. He has also developed a website called ‘www.salixherbs.com’ (India’s first product-business website which includes social networking). Sanjeev Kumar (ME 2010 batch) attended IDD Summit in July 2011 at Ghana, South Africa, it was organized by MIT, Boston and other schools.

Inspiration It was March 2009 and to my utter surprise I detected that attendance of a student who used to be very responsible and sincere was not up to the mark. I had sent at least three Demi-Official letters congratulating her father for her 100 % attendance in the first, second and third years. Suddenly her attendance dipped to 69%.When I called her and counseled her, she clarified that her attendance had suffered due to her CAT exam preparation. When I asked her to give a written statement certifying that she would score at least 90 percentile in her CAT exam, she wrote that she would definitely score more than 99 percentile. I saw confidence, determination and humility on her face and I was assured that she would achieve it. When the result was out, I was delighted to know that she had come up to her expectations with a 99.8 percentile. She received calls from four IIMs but ultimately she joined IIM Indore and on passing out from there she joined TISCO as the Vice President at Bombay. She symbolizes the belief that responsibilities gravitate to the person who can shoulder them. The honored alumni is Ms. Ashita Mittal.

MCA Trip MCA final year students with Dr. Ritika (Head, MCA Dept.), Mr. Javed Alam, Mr. Deepak Sharma and Ms. Nirmala Mehta visited ONGC Computer Centre and Museum on 26th of August 2011. GEOPIC Computer Centre was of major interest and excitement to the students as it holds the 2nd largest processing unit after CDAC. So it was like a dream come true for the students to actually visit it. There they were divided into two batches of 60 students each and were taken to the Subiraha Golden Jubilee Museum and Computer centre simultaneously. The students were exposed to many recent technologies related to software and hardware.

SAE TRIP SAE-DIT organized an Industrial Visit to Indian Railways , Patiala on 22nd Sept. 2011.
