This gentle, preservative and sulfate-free, crystal clear facial cleansercontains acne-fighting salicylic acid and exfoliating scrub particles.Carbopol* AquaSF-2 Polymer provides excellent stability and high clarity at a

relatively low pH level as well as exfoliant suspension, shear-thinningrheology, and smoothflow. Sulfochem* AOS-K Surfactant is an all-purpose surfactantexhibiting excellent foaming and cleansing characteristics. Chembetaine*CADSurfactant is a mild, high purity, low color surfactant providingadditional foaming, and viscosity building characteristics for thisformulation.

Procedure:

1.PART A: In a suitable sized vessel large enough to hold the entire batchwithgentle mechanical mixing add Disodium EDTA to warm(30-40 C) DeionizedWater.2.Add Carbopol* Aqua SF-2 Polymer to batch with mixing. (Note: It may benecessary to recalculate the amount of Carbopol* Aqua SF-2 Polymerrequireddepending on the %TS of the particular lot. The amount required should bebasedon a final formula amount of 2.25%TS.)

3.Add ingredient 4 with mixing. Mix gently for 15 minutes to ensurehomogeneity. Mixuntil uniform.4.Neutralize batch with Sodium Hydroxide(18 %TS) to raise pH to 6.5-6.6.5.PART B: In a separate vessel combine ingredients 6 & 7 with mixing. Mixuntiluniform.6.Add PART B to PART A with mixing. Mix until uniform.7.

PART C: In a separate vessel add ingredients 8-13 in one at a time inorder withmixing. Mix until clear and uniform.8.Add PART C to main batch with mixing. Mix until uniform.9.Slowly adjust pH to 3.7 - 4.5 with Citric Acid (50 %TS). Mix untiluniform.10.Stop mechanical agitation. Gently add Unispheres with paddle agitation(beads arefragile).
