ParallelismWhenever you include a list of actions or

items, you must use equal grammatical units. For example, if the first action is a simple past tense verb, then make the other items simple past tense verbs as well.

The Editing Games 1.) Students will separated in to groups of three.

Each group will be given a district number.

2.) Each team member will be assigned a particular skill area. Students will edit all the writings in their group for that single convention.*Each group member is only editing for 1-2 skills.

3.) When you hear the timer go off, it is time to switch essays. By the end of class you should have edited three papers for your particular skill area. Your papers should be thoroughly marked up with

different colors.
