Yeoval Central School Term 2 Week 2
30 April 2012
Approximately fifty students and a number of teachers and parents marched with the school on ANZAC Day. Students wore full school uniform with a sprig of rosemary. The parade was led by our school drum‐mers and Grant Iles was the flag bearer. Brittney Smith, Mackenzie Tremain and Lachlan Blatch carried the school banner and laid a wreath on behalf of the school. The students looked magnificent in their uni‐form. Brittney and Grant also attended the Dawn Service on behalf of the school and read a speech about the importance of ANZAC Day. Congratulations to Mrs H Johnson and her band of drummers. This is the first time that they have played in public since purchasing the drum set.
A school ANZAC Day service was held on Tuesday 24th April for all students. The service was conducted by the students who explained the meaning of ANZAC Day and other formalities involved in a service.
