SYNOPSIS From the original screenplay by Oscar-winning writer William Monahan, an intense, classical thriller about a brilliant, near-suicidal artist, Thomas (Garrett Hedlund), who attempts to escape his privileged existence into the desert only to encounter, instead of solitude, what he was really looking for: a worthy antagonist, in the form of a homicidal, chameleon-like drifter—Jack (Golden Globe-nominee Oscar Isaac). Their first encounter at a campfire sets up a nonstop, violent duel of physical and intellectual equals. The game intensifies when Jack, while in murderous pursuit of Thomas, witnesses Thomas’ accidental killing of an innocent man he has mistaken for Jack. The chase moves from the spectacular vistas of the American desert, shot in gorgeous Todd-AO anamorphic, to a noir Los Angeles, where the delighted Jack discovers Thomas’ notoriety as an artist and his adulterous affair with a beautiful French film star, Milly (César-nominee Louise Bourgoin). Jack continues to remake his own identity in relentless pursuit of his victim, culminating in a vortex of criminality and brutality as Thomas emerges as an equally dangerous opponent.

ABOUT THE CAST GARRETT HEDLUND Thomas Garrett Hedlund has amassed an amazing body of work since coming to Los Angeles at age eighteen. He made an auspicious motion picture debut as part of the all-star cast in Wolfgang Petersen’s Troy, the big-budget movie based on The Iliad, Homer’s epic account of the Trojan War and the bloody battle between the Achaeans (Greece) and the Trojans. Hedlund, who portrayed Patroclus, Achilles’ teenage cousin who aspires to become a warrior, co-starred opposite Brad Pitt (as Achilles), Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom and Diane Kruger. Hedlund most recently starred in Universal’s Unbroken, based on the Laura Hillenbrand book and directed by Angelina Jolie, which follows the true story of Lou Zamperini, whose Air Force plane crashed in the Pacific in 1943, and who then survived without food and water for 47 days, enduring shark attacks, aerial attacks and hunger before washing ashore on a Japanese island behind enemy lines where he was held as a prisoner of war for two years and tortured by his captors. Hedlund plays Commander John Fitzgerald, a fellow P.O.W. Next up for Hedlund is a starring role as Hook in the Warner Bros. epic adventure Pan, directed by Joe Wright and co-starring Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara. Pan is scheduled for release this July. He also stars with his Inside Llewyn Davis co-star Oscar Isaac in William Monahan’s Mojave, which premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival. Hedlund begins production this spring on Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. Hedlund received critical accolades for his starring role in Walter Salles’ On the Road opposite Sam Riley and Kristen Stewart, based on the novel by Jack Kerouac and his work with the Cohen Bros. on Inside Llewyn Davis, which also starred Oscar Isaac, John Goodman and Carey Mulligan, and won the Grand Prix at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Hedlund has had the opportunity to work with great actors and directors in: Twentieth Century Fox’s Death Sentence opposite Kevin Bacon, Kelly Preston and John Goodman; Universal Pictures’ Georgia Rule for director Garry Marshall where he starred opposite Lindsay Lohan and Jane Fonda and the film Eragon co-starring with Djimon Honsou, Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich. Hedlund also starred in Paramount Pictures’ Four Brothers, for director John Singleton co-starring with Mark Wahlberg, Andre 3000 and Tyrese Gibson and Universal’s Friday Night Lights, directed by Peter Berg and produced by Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment. Hedlund starred as tailback Don Billingsley, co-starring with Billy Bob Thornton, Derek Luke, Jay Hernandez, Lucas Black and Tim McGraw. He also starred in Tron: Legacy alongside Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde and Country Strong opposite Gwyneth Paltrow, Leighton Meester and Tim

McGraw, and Arc Enterainment’s Lullaby with Amy Adams, Richard Jenkins and Terrence Howard. Just eighteen when he debuted in Petersen’s epic film, Hedlund was born in northern Minnesota and spent his high school years in Scottsdale, Arizona. He began taking private acting classes while in high school and took a unique approach to his pursuit of the craft by reading screenplays of older films, watching those films on video and then pretending he was auditioning for one of the roles in the film. He also spent countless hours reading the Hollywood trade papers at his local bookstore and calling agents in Los Angeles. He graduated from high school a semester early and immediately packed his bags and headed for Hollywood. Hedlund has been honored with the Young Hollywood “Film Actor of the Year” Award, the Glamour UK “Man of the Year” Award and the Maui Film Festival’s “Rising Star” Award. OSCAR ISAAC Jack OSCAR ISAAC most recently starred alongside Jessica Chastain in J.C. Chandor’s action-packed drama A Most Violent Year, for which he earned rave reviews and the National Board of Review Award for Best Actor. His upcoming films include Mojave, written and directed by William Monahan, and Ex-Machina, a sci-fi thriller written and directed by Alex Garland. Isaac was most recently cast as the villain in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse due for release on May 27, 2016, and he recently wrapped filming on Star Wars: Episode VII, the first of a trilogy planned by Disney and directed by J.J. Abrams, scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2015. Isaac’s list of upcoming projects also includes the new HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero alongside Catherine Keener. Isaac will star as Nick Wasickso, the youngest big-city mayor in the nation, who finds himself thrust into the center of the fight for housing desegregation in Yonkers, N.Y. in the late 1980s. Isaac’s recent roles include the title character in the Coen Brothers’ film Inside Llewyn Davis. This film premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Grand Prix award, and since, has garnered numerous awards and nominations including Oscar Isaac’s Toronto Film Critics Award for Best Actor, and his Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. Isaac shows off his skills as a singer and performer on the Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack, lending an element of authenticity to his portrayal of the struggling folk singer. Isaac also recently starred in The Two Faces of January from director Hossein Amini, The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment of the Bourne franchise, directed by Tony Gilroy, W.E., directed by Madonna, Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive opposite Carey Mulligan, and as King John in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.

Elmore Leonard, executive producer and writer of the short story Fire in the Hole on which the show is based, says of “Boyd,” “There has never been a more poetic bad guy on television in the way that he sees the world.” Goggins most recently reprised the (BJTA) nominated role of transgender escort “Venus Van Dam” on the highly-rated FX drama series Sons of Anarchy. Goggins also takes time to lend a hand to various non-profit organizations and has joined forces with City Hearts, whose focus is bringing the arts to underfunded schools. He has also worked closely with Global Green USA, which is committed to sustainable development and the legislation to support it. The busy actor enjoys traveling the world and has spent time in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Central America, Morocco and India last spring. Led by William Green, Atlas Independent produces movies with budgets of $10 million or less, betting on the potential high profit margins of smaller films with commercial appeal. The company works in tandem with filmmakers to help package and secure financing for their modestly sized projects and provides a top-notch creative experience from script to screen. Atlas Independent has produced five movies since its inception in 2012. The most recent films include The Man On Carrion Road (2015), a crime thriller starring Patrick Wilson, Ian McShane & John Leguizamo and Oscar winning writer William Monahan’s Mojave (2015), which stars Garrett Hedlund and Oscar Isaac. Atlas Independent’s previous films include, Revenge For Jolly (2012), starring Kristen Wiig, Oscar Isaac and Ryan Phillippe which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by Sony Pictures World Wide Acquisitions, the British crime caper Get Lucky (2013) released by Universal in the UK, and Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s Open Grave (2014) starring Sharlto Copley and Thomas Kretschmann which was released domestically by Tribeca Films and theatrically around the world. HENCEFORTH PICTURES Henceforth Pictures, led by Academy Award-winner William Monahan, is involved in motion picture and television production in the United States and United Kingdom, and in 2014 entered into a first-look deal with Paramount Pictures. In 2010, Henceforth Pictures produced, with GK Films, Monahan’s directorial debut, London Boulevard. The film, starring Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley, was released domestically by IFC following a worldwide release. Henceforth will produce, with Charlize Theron’s Denver & Delilah Film and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures, Monahan’s adaptation of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, to star Theron. With Greg Shapiro and Patrick Milling Smith of Smuggler Films, Henceforth Pictures will produce Monahan’s adapation of Daniel Carney’s adventure novel The Wild Geese. Monahan will next write and produce, with Henceforth, The Throwaways for Paramount. Henceforth Pictures has a number of film and television projects in development, including several Monahan originals. MICA ENTERTAINMENT MICA Entertainment is a film financing company that serves as a one stop funding solution for top tier production companies.
