Combineharvester is Marlon Mc Neill. «I write all songs and usually play all instruments. The songwriting process happens during the recording. I don‘t see my songs as rock songs in the traditional sense, more like music and sounds wrapped around little poems. Poems that may be as short as one line. One does not need many words to say what has to be said. People would probably stuff me in the Singer/Songwriter drawer because I sing and write songs. This doesn‘t sound like the classic Singer/Songwriter music, though sometime it does. Combineharvester get‘s it‘s inspiration from all sorts of places in the music uni-verse. A song may end up being a 15 minute drone esca-pade or a 30 second almost acapella ditty. Everything is possible. One may see Combineharvester as a melting pot

of all or some projects I‘m involved in, or the other way round: the source and inspiration to participate in all kinds of musical oddities.»

Some fun moments, i.e. let‘s head for some name dropping: 1996-2008 Bass and vocals for Grindcore band Speck. Several releases and tours across Europe. 1998-2008 Combineharvester. Three releases. Some shows. Loads of songs. Many of them lost by accidently erasing a mini disc. 2004-2005 Organs, Keyboard and Guitar for live appearances for drone virtuoso Papiro. 2004-2005 Vocals for recordings and tour with london based casio-grind outfit Trencher. 2000-2004 Keyboards, sampling and vocals for grind improvisation collective Schorf. July 2006 Bass for Live appearances of Pop Band I Was A King, a one week tour of Norway. Nov 2005 Vocals for Trencher album «Lips...» released 10.2006 by Southern Records. Apr 2004 John Peel Session for BBC Radio One with Trencher. Okt 2004 Tour support for Fuck in Germany, Switzerland and Italy with Combineharvester. Dec 2004 John Peel Tribute at BBC studios with Trencher. Live broadcast worldwide via Internet. Jan 2003 Music and Sounddesign for play «I Never Liked You», conducted by Katharina Stur and inspired by Chester Brown – Luzerner Theater, Switzerland 2002 Birth of A Tree In A Field Records.

Statement

The Day After Songtext:

Shhhh.Don’t move. What is that?Is that blood on your lips. That trickle of blood explains everything. That trickle of blood. You haven’t been coughing again have you?
