•Stalin wanted peasants to farm on either state owned farms or collectives large farm owned.

Peasants would be permitted to keep their house and personal belongings, but all farm animals were to be turned over to the collectives.

● He targeted army heroes, industrial managers, writers and other important citizens and charged them with a large range of crimes. Between 1936 and 1938 Stalin made a series of public “show trials” in Moscow.

● Lenin and Stalin wanted to bring worldwide revolution that Marx had predicted. However since they were soviets, they wanted to win the nation’s security by winning the support of other countries.

● In 1914, Lenin formed the Communist International Comintern, with the purpose of encouraging world wide revolution.

● This aided many revolutionary groups around the world and helped colonial people rise up against imperialist powers.
