DiscussionDiscussion• Students like math and do not

think it is a boring subject.• However, they do not understand

math more through CM.• Both sides highly agreed that it

makes no sense to learn math by CM.

Page 11: A Study Of Teachers’& Parents’

• The answer “CM is helpful for the students to learn mathematics in certain chapters.” supports Yang’s theory.

• The Ministry of Education should be more considerate before adopted any theory or concept.

Page 12: A Study Of Teachers’& Parents’

• “If changed CM back to old concept can help the students have a better understanding in Math.”

• This is partly contrary to Chang’s and Chiu’s theory.

Page 13: A Study Of Teachers’& Parents’

• Teachers indicated that it is good for Taiwan to diversify the learning concept.

• But CM need a better adjust and development.

• Parents concerned the consequences about changing the learning concept again.

Page 14: A Study Of Teachers’& Parents’

• Teachers agreed “CM do help the interaction between teachers and students” support Nodding’s theory.

• Parents agreed “CM could help students learning math easier.”

Page 15: A Study Of Teachers’& Parents’

ConclusionConclusion• CM helps the first and second grade

students in learning and building the basic concept.

• However, CM poses learning difficulty for the third to sixth grade students.

• CM can increase the level of class interaction between teachers and students.
