Defining Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship has traditionally been defined
the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which typically begins as a small business, such as a startup company, offering a product, process or service for sale.

Who is an Entrepreneur?? An entrepreneur has been
defined as "a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.
According to Adam Smith, Entrepreneur is an individual who undertakes the formation of a commercial organization for commercial purposes by recognizing the potential demand for goods and services , and thereby act as an economic agent.

Entrepreneurship can: Significantly contribute to national income,
employment, and export earnings. Value of output over Rs. 5,70,000 Crores. Employment of over 17.5 million which is twice
the private sector and almost as much as all public sector employment.
Exports of over Rs. 54,000 crores (> 35 per cent of all exports) (2000-01 figures).

Ashmeet Kapoor:
27 year old, resident of Delhi. It was difficult for him to find
genuine ‘organic’ fruits and vegetables.
Started his own venture for an ONLINE ORGANIC FRUITS AND VEGETABL STORE.
The company employs 20 people and is clocking a revenue of Rs. 10 lakh per month.

Meghna Jaswal & Mira Jhala:
Close friends and roommates in IHM, Aurangabad.
Left jobs at top hotels in US to set up their catering business.
In less than 3 years, they have become the in-house catering partners for many large coporates in Gurugram.
The kitchen serves around 3,000 meals a day and has managed to reach an annual turnover of Rs. 3 Crore.

Government Aids: According to the Prime Minister Employment
Generation Programme (PMEGP), Any individual, above 18 years of age. At least VIII standard pass for projects costing above Rs.10 lakh in the manufacturing sector and above Rs. 5 lakh in the business / service sector. Only new projects are considered for sanction under PMEGP. Self Help Groups (including those belonging to BPL provided that they have not availed benefits under any other Scheme), Institutions registered under Societies Registration Act,1860; Production Co-operative Societies, and Charitable Trusts are also eligible.

Other Schemes:1) Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small
Enterprises: The scheme provides credit facilities in the form of term loans
and working capital facility of up to Rs. 100 lakh per borrowing unit.
2) Credit Link Capital Subsidy Scheme for Technology Upgradation:
It aims at facilitating technology upgradation by providing upfront capital subsidy of 15% (limited to maximum Rs.15 lakhs) to SSI units for credit availed by them for the modernization of their plant and machinery. All sole proprietorship, partnership firms, cooperative, private and public limited companies are eligible for this scheme. Since the inception of this scheme, more than 28,287 units have availed subsidy of Rs.1619.32 crore

3)Market Development Assistance Scheme for MSMEs: To help Indian manufacturing SMEs gain traction in the international markets, the Market Development Assistance Scheme for MSMEs offers funding for participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions under MSME India stall. This scheme offers reimbursement of 75% of one-time registration fee and 75% of annual fees (recurring) paid to GSI by SMEs for the first three years for bar code.

Conclusion: From the above slides it can be concluded
that We all have that potential within us that can take us a step more close towards our goal.
Moreover, the govt. is launching many schemes to aid the young ideas turning to realities.
