A huge thank you to all the teachers and support staff who came on the night and worked so hard behind the scenes. Special mention to our incredibly talented and inspirational Mrs Coker whose vision and dedication makes such a wonderful evening possible.

From the classroom Come and see the wonderful display in our office foyer. 4/6R are learning about living things and how they change and grow. The sunflowers really brighten up the foyer.
4B are learning about religions of the world and this week have studied the Hindu festival of Diwali. They have assembled a rangoli, made from coloured rice, at the office and classroom doors to encourage wealth to flow in.
Well done to Karina for an outstanding project on the solar system.

Bunnings BBQ a great success! The Sausage Sizzle fundraiser on Sunday 4 November at Bunnings Lidcombe raised $912.30. A big THANK YOU to the following families who worked on & supported the BBQ fundraiser: Williams; Garcia; Beasley; Snell/Mills; Peterson; Leanne; Matthews; Thomas/Smith; Balding; McCann; Deveridge; Piper; Aylward, Barber & Keryn Hinchcliffe.
Senior Camp We wish all our campers an exciting 3 days at Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, on the Hawkesbury River near Sackville North. We look forward to hearing stories of their experiences at camp.
P&C The P&C AGM will be held on Monday 3 December in the school Library. We hope you can join us.

Community news Carols by Candlelight at Old Government House, Parramatta (Parramatta Park) Saturday 8 December 2012 Time: 7.00pm to 9.00pm Gates open 6.00pm Start the festive season with a night of carols played by NSW Railway Band. Enjoy performances from Northmead High School and Baulkham Hills High School and a visit from Santa Claus. Entry is via a gold coin and all funds raised go to support Old Government House and Experiment Farm Cottage (two of our most precious heritage properties) There will be a sausage sizzle, ice creams, candles, drinks and coffee for sale. Please bring rugs or low chairs for seating at the front of Old Government House.
