DESCRIPTION

In this paper, we present a new spectrum sensing scheme using three adaptive threshold based on energy detection for cognitive radio networks. In conventional two-threshold, there is a problem about confused region. This problem will happen when all the energy fall between two thresholds and it will cause sensing failure. Our scheme have three deferent threshold, first two threshold are produced using double adaptive threshold and we put another one threshold at confused region to enhance the performance and overcome sensing failure problem. Based on simulation result, our proposed method has better performance as compared to other scheme in very low signal to noise ratio (SNR).
