When People Become Christians…

• They Have A Change of Heart!

• How do I change my heart?– Must renew your mind… Romans 12:1-2– We’re to put off the old man and put on the

new man. “and be renewed in the spirit of your mind” Eph. 4:17-24 (23)

– Does anything in your life not pass the test of righteousness. Drinking Alcohol, smoking, cursing, hatred, tobacco, etc.

– Is your heart (thinking) right?

When People Become Christians…

• They Create A New Lifestyle!

• How do I change my lifestyle? Heart to hand!

• Stop doing sinful things. Do right things!

• New Fruits: Romans 6:14-18, 20-22– The Fruit of the Spirit. Gal. 5:22-23– Fruits of repentance. Acts 26:20

Instead, I first told the people in Damascus and

Jerusalem, then the whole countryside of Judea,

and then the gentiles to repent, turn to God, and

practice works that are consistent with such

repentance.

When People Become Christians…

• They Have A New Allegiance, A New Loyalty!

• To Christ! Romans 10:9-10 “Lord Jesus”

• Christ is the King of kings! 1 Timothy 6:15– Has all authority. Matthew 28:18, 20– We must submit all to Him. Col. 3:17; Mk. 12:30

• Our loyalty will reward us! Rev. 2:10

• Must be careful, the devil is constantly vying for our allegiance. James 4:7

When People Become Christians…

• They Have A New Reason For Living, A New Purpose of Life!

• Not to live just for ourselves, but live for Jesus Christ. 2 Cor. 5:15– We’re to be like magnetic lights drawing others

to be saved in Jesus. Phil. 2:12-18; 1 Cor. 11:1; Mark 16:15-16

• Whole duty is to fear God and keep His commandments. Eccl. 12:13; Jn. 14:15

When People Become Christians…

• They Have A Change In Relationship!

• We become children of God when we are baptized into Christ. Gal. 3:26-27

• The devil is no longer their father but God is!– Some are still related to the devil. John 8:44

• We become heirs of God according to the promise of God. Gal. 3:29– Because we live according to the Spirit not the

flesh any more, we are heirs of God. Romans 8:12-17

• Christians change from the inside outwardly. Matthew 23:26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, so that its outside may also be clean.

• Make the decision to make that change today! Become a new creation in Christ.

• Come to Jesus by: Hearing the gospel Rom. 1:16; 10:17 Believe it. Heb. 11:6 Repent Acts 2:38; Confess Jesus Acts 8:37 and Baptism Acts 22:16
