You are cordially invited to Ignite Enthusiasm for Opera!When you bring an Opera for the Young performance of Cinderella to your school, you’re helping build a life-long appreciation for the arts in your students.
In 2012 - 2013, our professional cast is available to entertain and inform, right in your school’s gym.
You will be part of this interactive educational event. Weeks in advance of the performance, you’ll receive a teaching packet containing:
• a tutorial CD• a teacher’s guide• a libretto and• a student handbook
This will supply your music teacher with everything needed to prepare 16 students to sing on stage with our professional artists. We also encourage all students to learn the music and sing from their seats.
PLEASE NOTE: The important (and goofy) roles of Cinderella’s stepsisters will be played by two of your school’s (or your community’s) most outgoing adults… so start brainstorming!
Early Bird Special is $780!The actual cost of each show is over $1,800.

Note to Cinderella’s Stepsisters: The rewards for being good can be great.
Opera for the Young’s (OFY) adaptation of Cinderella will bring this classic fairy tale alive for children. Vivid characterizations for both professional and elementary school cast members draw young audiences into the story’s universal themes that one has the power to transform one’s life through inner strength and that the rewards for being a good person can be great!
Children from your school will play the chorus of mice, horses and aristocrats, and student actors will be the King and Queen. We are reserving the roles of Cinderella’s two goofy stepsisters for your most outgoing faculty members or even local celebrities.
Each OFY performance provides a one-of-a-kind interactive event where your students have the opportunity to perform alongside our accomplished opera professionals. Entertaining and unforgettable, Cinderella will awe and inspire your students for years to come.
