world.

“Last month, a man wearing a green shirt won the lottery. I am wearing a green shirt this month. I guess I’ll win the lottery!”

“After I ate grilled cheese, I got asked out on a date. Therefore, I must eat grilled cheese to have a love life.”

“I’ve heard people on TV say that ‘some women are handsome woman.’ My grandmother said I look handsome. I must be somewhat a woman.”

Oh how we’ll miss your jubilant humor!

Non-sequitur was survived by his relatives, until they all died recently in a writing accident.

Father: Fallacy of the Undistributed Middle

Mother: Affirming the Consequent

Brother: Denying the Antecedent

Sister: Affirming a Disjunct

Cousin: Denying a Conjunct.

SURVIVORS

Non-Sequitur is survived by his wife, Shirley Good Reasoning, and his best friend, Barry Correct Conclusion. Shirley and Barry will always have fond memories of Non-Sequitur’s unreasonable arguments and statements, and hope to carry on the memories…only with a bit more backup behind.

WORDS FROM SURVIVORS AND LOVED ONES

Non-Sequitur spent most of his time volunteering in political debates. He was also present in many arguments, disputes, school projects, persuasive essays, advertisements, and everyday conversations.

You could often see Non-Sequitur jumping to conclusions with only a small or weak amount of reasoning, missing the best backup arguments and covering with the worst He would bring out something completely irrelevant, but delightful, into the argument. Following him was like walking a maze.

NON-SEQUITUR’S LIFE

Non-Sequitur, you will be missed dearly. You will forever be in our hearts, but no longer in our arguments.

May you rest in peace.
