Centre College President John Roush last week in an editorial in the Danville Advocate Messenger defined the characteristics of a liberal arts education this way:

think critically and evaluate carefully,seek creative solutions,communicate effectively,have been challenged in adventurous settings across the globe,are leaders who are talented in building teams, andpossess and practice soft skills.

In short, now more than ever, the most relevant undergraduate experience is an education in the liberal arts and sciences.”
