From 1980, Bob has also been involved in teaching at the University of Western Australia in varying capacities. Bob has lectured extensively and conducted courses both nationally and internationally. Bob has also been involved in developing programmes and lectures at the Dental School, University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 1991. His key interests are the interdisciplinary management of complex adult dentitions, aesthetically challenging cases and CEREC technology.
Dr Dax Calder A/Prof, BDSc, MDSc (perio), MRACDS (perio)
Dax Calder is a periodontist in full time private practice in West Perth, Western Australia. He completed his BDSc in 1990 and MDSc in 1997 from the University of Western Australia. In 1998 he completed further graduate studies at UCLA.
He has lectured nationally and internationally to general dentists, graduate students and specialists; with a particular focus on case selection, risk assessment and skills development in the field of implant-related augmentation techniques.
His current research interests include immediate implant loading protocols for the management of terminal periodontitis dentitions and augmentation strategies for the optimisation of implant aesthetics.
He currently holds academic appointments in post-graduate implant training programmes at the University of Sydney and the University of Western Australia.

PROGRAM
ACT FAST - ATTENDANCE STRICTLY LIMITED TO 12 PARTICIPANTS
Angled Correction to Overcome Anatomical Limitations
The Co-Axis implant is indicated for use in situations where the long axis of a conventional implant would not coincide with the long axis of the restoration and would therefore result in a restorative compromise.
The Co-Axis concept can be applied to solve many situations where inclined placement of implants is either unavoidable or even an advantage. It is an elegant and truly innovatve solution to frequent problems.
BONE GRAFTING TECHNIQUES
The Co-axis implant optimises the use of available bone without compromising restorative protocols.
Learn when bone grafting techniques should be considered and when the Co-axis implant can be selected as a solution to achieve optimal results in the aesthetic zone.
TECHNICAL FACTS
• Simulates anterior maxillary anatomy more accurately than uni-axial implants
• Avoids anatomical structures (eg. sinus & mental foramen)
• Facilitates screw retained prosthetics in resorbed maxillary treatment
• Features industry-compatible connections, compatible with other major brands
• Eliminates the need for angle correcting abutments or custom abutments

5:00 CLOSESURGICAL PLACEMENT OF DENTAL IMPLANTS
The hands-on surgical implant course is aimed at practitioners who have experience with surgical placement of dental implants and have an understanding of the basic principles and techniques associated to implant placement and flap design. The course is aimed at an intermediate level.
It will showcase the various major implant configurations with respect to case selection and hard/soft tissue management.
The practical aspects of this course will be conducted on fresh frozen cadavers which will closely simulate clinical presentations.
