It’s so important to give young kids a love of learning; to have them want to be in your classroom each and every day.

This is not always an easy task!

I know what it’s like to try and teach children who are disengaged from the learning process; who aren’t working on their

assigned work. Kids who see everything as a chore meant to ruin their day or with some of my more dramatic kids

- their life!

I soon discovered that using games and interactive worksheets changed my kids’ opinions of school. My kids became

more engaged in the learning process, they enjoyed doing literacy and math centers AND were happy to be at school.

You need:● game marker for each player• paperclip, pencil and spinners• game board• recording sheet

The first player to reach the finish is the winner.

Take it in turns to spin the spinners and record the equation. You can only move to the next flower if the answer is there. You can’t skip a flower.

Place your marker on start and decide who will spin the spinners first. Spin them both and record the equation you have madeon the recording sheet. If the answer is on the first flower place your marker on it.
