Every time I look at the Sew Spooky Blocks, I find something I had not noticed before. I’m amazed at the creativity of the quilt designer.

This block, called Every Which Way, makes me think of the Wizard of Oz. Did a tornado pick up this house and drop it on the witch or are the feet in the walkway a design element? I love the roof hat and wonder if the broom is just an architectural de-tail or perhaps it is functional—like the iron bars they use to hold together old homes in the east. You know they are there by the decora-tive stars on the out-side of the houses. If you live in the woods as I do, you might not be so keen on the spider and

webs, they have been terrible in the south this year, unless you are a fan of Charlotte’s web! My cats love to look out the win-dow, and I’m sure they would be happy to perch on a jack-o-lantern. Ok, enough of my musings.
