Importing with FedEx is easy and reliableAt FedEx, we aim to make your entire import experience straightforward – providing online tools for shipping, monitoring and tracking; lending our expertise in customs clearance; and keeping abreast of all the latest rules and regulations, duties and taxes.

FedEx Import shipping solution offers you the ability to schedule a pickup from other countries and get your shipment delivered to you or to a third country.Additionally, it gives you the flexibility for billing freight charges either to the recipient or to a third party.

Save your shipping documents and send them to your shipper Save the Air Waybill or Commercial/Pro Forma Invoice in PDFformat and send to your shipper so he/she can print and attach the required documents to the shipment.

Fill your Air Waybill OnlineGo to fedex.com and select your country to prepare your shipment onlineand click on the “Ship” tab. Enter your FedEx user ID and password.

1. Enter the address and contact details of your shipper. Please ensure that the shipper is aware and agrees to you preparing the Air Waybill and shipping information on his/her behalf.

2. Enter the information about the recipient. You can store up to 2,000 recipients’ or shippers’ addresses in your fedex.com address book by selecting "Save new recipient in address book".

3. Specify the package details (service type, packaging, number of packages, weight and dimensions, value) and shipment date. Your FedEx Air Waybill is valid for 8 days after you create it.

4. Specify billing details. From the drop-down list, select the party that will be paying the shipping cost, duties and taxes. Your account number will appear by default in the “Bill transportation to” field. If you are also paying the duties and taxes, select “Recipient” but you do not need to enter your account number again.

Book a pickup

Option 1:Once the shipment is ready your shipper can schedule a pickup by calling FedEx Customer Service in his/her homecountry.

Option 2:If your shipper has a valid FedEx account number, he/shecan also schedule a pickup via fedex.com. *

Option 3:You can also schedule a pickup via fedex.com in yourshipper's country of origin on his/her behalf. You can doso while creating the Air Waybill by clicking on "Schedule a Pickup" on the "Pickup/Drop-off" section.

If you choose this option please ensure the following:

• The shipment is ready to be picked-up.• You are aware of the shipper’s facility opening hours.• The shipper knows that you have booked the pickup on his behalf. Get online support for preparation of customs documents and estimation of duties and taxes

FedEx® Global Trade Manager at fedex.com can indicate whether or not you require a Commercial Invoice, and highlight any additional customs clearance forms that would be required to accompany your shipment. It also gives detailed commodity and country information, a currency converter, information on relevant customs regulations, and can even estimate shipping duties and taxes that would be due on your shipment.

Obtain shipping rates and transit times

If you are the payer, you can obtain your import rates directly on your fedex.com country homepage on “Get Rates and Transit Times” from the “Ship” tab.

Proactively manage your shipments

With FedEx Advanced Tracking you can access your shipment 24/7 from any device, with no additional hardware required. Business customers must sign up for FedEx® Tracking to view inbound, outbound and third party shipments.
